One of our long-time passengers, Millie, passed away on Friday, 8/14. She was 75.

Millie has been riding BATA for 20+ years. The statistics in our current software only goes back to 2012, but... who has the most BATA rides in the history of BATA?? The answer is Millie... 10,137 rides ... since January 1, 2012.

When you ask a BATA Driver or Dispatcher, "who is your favorite passenger?" Millie's name is the answer from the majority of us. She had a quick wit, a small stature but the spirit of a lion, was always keeping our team on their toes, and was helpful to new employees.

Millie loved giving and sharing with others. She used BATA to get around to her volunteer programs throughout the community and her church. She also loved visiting the employees at the grocery store every day, which she called her "kids". Even though she didn't really need to go grocery shopping every day, she went every day anyway to see the employees and visit with the BATA drivers on the way.

Millie will always have a special place in the BATA family... She will be missed by all of us.
