Responsibilities
-Drive and operate long-haul commercial trucks, including vehicle safety pre-inspection, supervising safe loading/unloading of cargo, and performing basic truck maintenance.
-Coordinating pick-up schedules, verifying and accurately logging load and mileage. Communicating any unusual occurrences or potential impacts to dispatchers or employers as soon as observed.
-Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times. Perform stress management during long-hauls.
-Complete accurate, daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered at EOD. Upload reports to the factoring company after every load.
-Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately. Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems, damage, or accidents to management.
-Manage resources, routes, and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
-Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations
-Ability to work weekends, including the holidays.
-Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public. Keep the truck clean, presentable, and in good working order at all times, scheduling repairs and maintenance if necessary.
Qualifications :
-Driver requirements: CDL-Class A.
-Certificate from an accredited CDL school.

Physical requirements: You must have good hearing, at least 20/40 vision with glasses or corrective lenses, and a 70-degree field of vision in each eye. Drivers cannot be colorblind.
-Truck drivers must have a strong sense of spatial relations to park their vehicles and negotiate tight spaces. Ability to lift 80 or more pounds repeatedly throughout the day. Practice strong ergonomics.
-Communications skills: All drivers must be able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, prepare reports, and communicate with law enforcement officers and the public.
-A clean background/ clean driving record: A driver must not have been convicted of any felony involving the use of a motor vehicle, a crime using drugs, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or hit-and-run driving that resulted in injury or death.
-High school diploma or equivalent
-21 years or older
-2+ years of commercial OTR and long-haul driving experience required.
-Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/driving knowledge
-Pallet jack experience required, forklift experience preferred
-Able to pass a random drug test
-No serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years
-Preferred Qualifications:
N, P, S, T, or X endorsements preferred
