Dedicated Lanes *do not* pay the same as Ad Hoc Freight – and they aren’t for everyone. While the rate is lower, the benefits associated with Dedicated Lanes are a consistent income, consistent schedule, more home time, health benefits, paid holidays, and paid time off.

Even though dedicated lanes are not for everyone, if you are looking for stable home time, dependable weekly pay, and limited waiting time at the shipper and consignee these lanes will fit your needs.

The rates in the dedicated business will not equal the rates on the ad hock and expedited side of the business but there are minimal empty miles and waiting time on dedicated lanes. You can expect to earn mileage rates between $1.42 a mile to $1.53 a mile (between 2,600 and 3,000 miles per week) with consistent home time.
