Let that sink in. ❤️

The time we spend with our children is one of the greatest investments we’ll ever make. Whether we’re traveling around the world or simply spending a day in our own backyard, that time matters.

Every season is different, and we don’t get to go back. So let’s make the most of the opportunities we have, slow down, and soak in every stage. ❤️

If you’re visiting Newport, do NOT skip the Cliff Walk. 👏🏼

This 3.5-mile coastal trail runs along the ocean with some of Newport’s famous Gilded Age mansions on the other side.

It’s basically the best of Newport in one walk. Ocean views + mansions + gorgeous scenery. 🌊🏛️

A few things to know:
• The full walk takes about 3–4 hours depending on how fast you go
• The northern portion of the trail is mostly paved and easy to walk, while the southern section is rockier and more rugged
• You’ll pass views of some of the incredible Gilded Age mansions, including The Breakers
• You don’t have to do the whole thing…you can easily just do a small section of you wish, though I definitely recommend doing it all if you are able!
• If you do walk the entire route, you can take the Newport trolley back toward where you parked instead of walking all the way back

Even if you’re only visiting Newport for a day, I’d put this at the top of your list. It’s one of the most iconic things to do in Rhode Island.

Save this for your Newport trip! 📍

A desert garden? Trust me, you’ll want to see this. 🤩

I didn’t expect a botanical garden in the desert to look like THIS.

The unique landscape and incredible variety of desert plants make this one of our favorite gardens we’ve visited, and it’s the perfect addition to a Phoenix or Scottsdale itinerary.

The Desert Botanical Garden is beautiful during the day, but certain times of year they also offer Garden After Dark, when the garden transforms after sunset with incredible light installations and a completely different atmosphere. ✨🌵

It’s our favorite botanical garden we’ve visited so far, and if you’re able to visit during Garden After Dark, I’d absolutely recommend experiencing it both during the day AND after sunset. Two completely different experiences!

If you’re planning a trip to Phoenix or Scottsdale, put this one on your list! 🌵
