Since I have a big group heading to Alaska next week I figured I'd post some packing ideas

❄️🚢 Packing for an Alaskan Cruise 🏔️🐋

Alaska is AMAZING, but packing for it can be a little tricky! You might have sunshine ☀️, rain 🌧️, chilly wind 💨 and beautiful mild weather… all in the same trip!

Here are a few things you’ll be glad you packed:

🧥 Layers, layers, layers!
• T-shirts & long-sleeve shirts
• Sweatshirt or fleece
• Lightweight puffer jacket
• Waterproof/rain jacket

👟 The right shoes
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Waterproof shoes or hiking boots if you're taking an excursion where you may need these
• A nicer pair for dinner onboard

🧢 Cold & rainy day extras
• Warm hat/beanie
• Gloves
• Compact umbrella
• Warm socks

🔭 Don't forget these!
• BINOCULARS — perfect for spotting whales & wildlife! 🐋🦅
• Sunglasses
• Small backpack for excursions
• Refillable water bottle
• Portable phone charger
• Camera or plenty of phone storage 📸
• Motion sickness medicine — just in case!
• Zip-top bags or a waterproof pouch for electronics

✨ Cruise Tip: Don’t pack only heavy winter clothes! Dressing in layers is the secret to Alaska. You can add or remove layers as the weather changes throughout the day.

And leave a little extra room in that suitcase… you’re probably coming home with a few Alaska souvenirs! 😉🐻

✈️ Do You Need a Passport? Not Always... But Here's Why You Should Have One! 🌎

Did you know that not every vacation requires a passport? If you're cruising from certain U.S. ports on a closed-loop cruise or traveling within the U.S. and its territories, you may not need one.

But here's why I always recommend getting a passport anyway:

🌍 It gives you the freedom to book international trips without the last-minute stress.

🚢 If you're on a cruise and have an emergency that requires you to fly home from another country, a passport can make the process much easier.

✈️ You'll be ready for those amazing last-minute travel deals to destinations like Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, and beyond!

🪪 It's one of the most widely accepted forms of identification.

⏳ Passport processing can take several weeks (or longer during busy travel seasons), so it's better to have one before you need it.

Just got back from a 7 day cruise on Carnival Mardi Gras with my family ❤️

Mardi Gras was a beautiful ship with so many food options! There was never a dull moment for the kids or adults between towel folding classes, bingo, Family Feud, Dr. Suess parade, family scavenger hunt, comedy shows & much more.

If you're considering cruising with kids this ship is a great option 🚢
