This month brought a little bit of everything — rider survey feedback, construction and event detours, graduation celebrations, and marathon weekend travel.

Green Mountain Transit is looking for a Parts Clerk to join our Maintenance team in Burlington.

This full-time role helps keep our buses road-ready by supporting inventory needs, ordering and receiving parts, verifying deliveries, maintaining accurate records, working with vendors, and helping ensure our mechanics have the parts they need.

💰 Starting Wage: $25.05/hour
📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

🌟 Benefits include:
• 100% paid health care coverage, including medical, dental, vision, and prescription
• 100% paid short-term disability premium
• Paid time off accrued each pay period, equivalent to 5+ weeks off

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2026, the Downtown Transit Center will have adjusted hours due to staffing challenges.

Lobby Hours:
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
Saturday–Sunday: Closed

Ticket Window:
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

As we honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country this Memorial Day, please plan ahead for upcoming GMT service changes and event-related detours throughout the weekend.

🚍 No GMT bus service will operate on Memorial Day (Monday, May 25) and all facilities will be closed.

🎉 Riders should also expect detours and possible delays during weekend events, including:
• The Memorial Day Parade in Essex
• The Vermont City Marathon & Relay in Burlington

Please allow extra travel time and check route updates before you ride.
