🚌 Let's Talk Transportation in the Old North End! 🚲

How could getting around Burlington be easier, more convenient, and more connected?

Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20, for the Old North End Mobility Hub Workshop, hosted by the City of Burlington!

GMT will be there alongside community partners to hear your ideas and explore ways to improve transportation connections in the Old North End.

From better transit connections and bike parking to pedestrian improvements and more, this is your chance to share what would make getting around your neighborhood easier.

We’ve spent the week showing you the new navigation, quick links, schedules, service alerts and other ways to find the information you need.

Documents on the new RideGMT.com are now supported by DocAccess, giving you more ways to read and interact with information from GMT.

When you open a document, you can:

♿ Open an accessible transcript designed to work better with assistive technology
🌎 Translate the document into another language
🔎 Navigate the document more easily using headings and an outline
💬 Ask questions about the document to help find the information you need

You can still view the original PDF, too.

💚 Thanks for riding with us this September 🚌

September was a big month for GMT! We held our first-ever Bus Week from September 14–19, launched our all-new and improved website on September 24, welcomed students back to school and onboard buses, and connected with Vermont students, job seekers, employers, and workforce partners at the Workforce in Motion Summit.

In August, GMT provided 115,286 rides across our system. Thank you for riding with us, sharing your stories, exploring new resources, and helping keep our community moving.

Accessibility has been an important part of the work behind the new RideGMT.com, and you may notice some of those improvements as you explore the site.

Navigate without a mouse
Our navigation is designed to be accessible using your keyboard, helping people who rely on keyboard navigation move through the site and reach important information more easily.

Personalize your experience with AudioEye
Look for the AudioEye accessibility tool on the site to adjust your viewing experience based on your needs. Options can help you change things like text size, contrast, spacing, and other display and navigation settings.

🛠️ Tell us when something isn’t working
The AudioEye tool also includes a way to report an accessibility issue. If you encounter something that is difficult to access or isn’t working as expected, you can let us know so the issue can be reviewed and addressed.

And our accessibility work doesn’t end with the launch of a new website.

We’ll continue reviewing, testing, listening and making improvements day by day to make it easier for all riders to access the information they need.

We’ve rebuilt our website to make it easier to find the information you need—whether you’re checking a schedule, looking for a service alert, reviewing fare information, finding a public meeting, or getting in touch with GMT.

👀 RideGMT.com is getting a new look today.

We’ve been working behind the scenes on a new website designed to make it easier to find the information you need to ride GMT.

The new site is planned to launch around 10 AM today.

You’ll notice a new look, simpler navigation, and some information in new places. We’ve also worked to improve accessibility throughout the site so more riders can get to the information they need.

And that work won’t stop at launch. We’ll continue improving RideGMT.com as we learn what works—and what could work better.
