I thought it might be time for another tour of Munson Boats. That'll be 40 cents please. Yes, the tour price has gone up. Blame President Trump for his tariff on imported aluminum.

Moose picture: The owner trailered his Munson from SE Alaska to Fairbanks, launched her in the Yukon River, ran 500 miles up the Yukon river, then ran up a tributary river to set up camp and harvest this moose. Great adventure!

Munson Boats recently delivered this beautiful landing craft to a client in Dubai. The boat was built so that the wheelhouse could be removed and set on deck to ease shipping challenges. After disassembly and preparation at the Munson factory she was loaded on a truck and shipped to Aberdeen, Wa. where she was loaded onto a ship and sent on her way to Dubai. Over the New Year holidays Jesse Munson, Justin Lagerway and Tyler Durham flew to Dubai to reassemble the boat and do owner sea trials. While in Dubai the Munson boys took some time for sight seeing and cloths shopping. A job well done!

Munson Boats created one of their largest work boats ever for a developer in Dubai. Our 65' Munson is the second for this customer and was designed to transport heavy equipment, fuel and crew to develop Palm Jebel Ali near Dubai. Along with its 45,000-pound payload, outfitting includes quad Mercury 350 Verado outboards, 4 auxiliary tanks for up to 3,000 gallons of diesel fuel, flip up locking deck seats port and starboard for 12 people, head, and hydraulic extended bow door. Deck space to transport heavy equipment is maximized by the elevated, air-conditioned superstructure which has seating for 8 and includes a 360-degree exterior breezeway. Bow and stern thrusters are included for enhanced maneuverability.

As part of the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs, the Naval Militia complements the Army and Air National Guard programs. My 30' Munson incorporates our US Patented Packcat Express hull design. We call this design a "Asymetric Symetric Tunnel Hull Landing Craft". Each color in the color photos represents a different piece of aluminum plate. At Munson Boats we say "it's not whats above the waterline that counts, its whats below the waterline that counts".

I designed my own 30' x 12' Packcat back in 2005/2006. I built her in 2007. She is a salmon, lingcod and crab fishing machine. She is simply awesome. Main power is a pair of 225 Hondas. Auxiliary power is a 50 Honda used for trolling and putting around. She has a head, shower, galley and convertable settee. A boiler type hot water heater provides heat and hot water to the galley. She can handle a 4 wheeler via her 52" wide bow door. Outfitting includes Lowrance electronics, Canon tournament downriggers, Lewmar crab pot puller and a Webasto stove top, We've been together for 10 years and i'm looking forward to many more.

Some shots of our latest FireBoat, constructed for Hillsborough County, FL. The diesel powered fire pump tops out at over 3,000 gallons per minute, and Quad 250hp Yamaha outboards ensure quick response times. This vessel is equipped with Seastar 360 joystick controls which provides automated station holding and precise maneuvering at low speeds. The cabin is well outfitted with Pilot Station, Fire Control Station, Command Station, EMS bench, as well as Head compartment.

Puget Sound is the home of the native Suquamish people. The Suquamish Tribal Police Department uses their 34’ Munson landing craft for marine patrols, dive operations, as well as crime and narcotics investigations. Outfitting includes D-rubber fendering, push knees, outboard motor guard, tow post, LED flood lights, search light , davit, walk around wheelhouse, SHOXS 2000 seats, and a hydraulic net roller.

Ketchikan is one of Alaska’s largest cities, and encompasses several remote settlements which can only be accessed by water. This 26’ Munson is used to transport equipment and supplies to one of these remote properties, as well as sport fishing, hunting, and crabbing. Outfitting includes an offset wheelhouse, forced air heat, Garmin navigation package, side boarding door, davit, 12v pot hauler, and trailer.
