We're taking research to new heights in Oklahoma! 🚀
The Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority is excited to announce the Runway-to-Space Spaceplane Challenge, a first-of-its-kind U.S. competition flying right here from the Infinity One Oklahoma Spaceport! 🛰️✈️
In partnership with Dawn Aerospace, we are offering up to 25 flights on the Aurora suborbital uncrewed spaceplane. Unlike traditional suborbital missions that are usually single-use and spaced months apart, the Aurora follows an aviation-style model where payloads can be tested, iterated, and re-flown in hours.

The Specs:
🔥 Speeds exceeding Mach 3.5
🌍 Altitudes approaching 100 km
⏱️ Up to 127 seconds of microgravity
📦 Payload capacity up to 15 kg (33 lbs)

Who can apply?
This program is designed to fuel Oklahoma’s innovation! Applications must be led by an Oklahoma-based university or research institution, though out-of-state partners are encouraged to join the mission.

Key Dates:
📅 Applications open 4/16/26 & close 9/25/26 (5 PM CT)
🚀 Flights begin mid-to-late 2027

🚀 A Double Launch for Oklahoma Aerospace! 🌌

We aren’t just renaming a facility; we are reimagining the entire industry. Today, we proudly unveil a bold new chapter with the dual rebranding of Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority and the Infinity One Oklahoma Spaceport!
As part of our strategic merger with the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics, we have overhauled our identity to better serve the global aerospace market.

What’s New?
✨ OSIDA’s Evolution: A comprehensive brand refresh featuring a polished mission, vision, and values. Our new visual identity signals a streamlined, state-level approach to cutting-edge investment and tenant support.
✨ Infinity One Oklahoma Spaceport: Formerly Clinton-Sherman, our flagship property in Burns Flat is now Infinity One. The name honors our original FAA designation as the nation's first inland space launch corridor.

Why This Matters:
With more than $30M in recent state investment, a 13,503-foot runway, and a business-friendly environment managed directly at the state level, Oklahoma is eliminating obstacles to innovation. From our numerous business incentives to our robust workforce pipeline, we are providing the infrastructure for the next space renaissance. The future isn't just coming—it’s taking off from Western Oklahoma. 🛰️✈️
We are OSIDA. We are Infinity One. We are Open for Business.
