Mining City Taxi will be available all day and all night on New Year’s Eve to get you to and from where you need to go to bring in the new year! We will be open until 3 AM and will reopen again at 5 AM on January 1, 2026. Do not drink and drive! We are trying to make it a goal to get through New Year’s Eve with zero DUIs for the mining city this year. Let Mining City Taxi take you where you need to go or please call an Uber or get a safe ride with a friend or family that is not drinking, but please do not drink and drive. Let’s keep our entire town safe this year. We hope you all have a fantastic New Year’s Eve and let’s make 2026 a fantastic year!

Mining City Taxi is currently looking for an evening driver for Friday and Saturday night. This would be a great position for somebody looking for some part-time hours that is retired or possibly on disability and can only work a few hours a week. Please let me know if you are interested in this position. Send me a private message and we will set up a time to meet as soon as possible. You must have a clean, driving record and be at least 25 years of age.

Mining City Taxi did 670 rides for the St Patricks day weekend this year!!! We got to everybody we could!! We were taking as many people as we could for every trip! The celebrants all seemed to be on their best behavior this year and they were all having a blast!! All said they could not wait to come back next year!! We had ZERO incidents in regards to problems in our cars this year! One phone left behind and we were able to return it that night! The hotels were all FULL! Our only issue was the amount of road closures this year made it difficult to get to everyone. So many from out of town that did not know their way around so if we asked them to walk to a specific location, they didn’t know where it was. Some were too cold to walk anywhere as the night went on. We did our best and it was non stop. I myself drove 18 straight hours!! We were sad to see the amount of DUI’s that did occur as the goal every year would be zero. We would like to thank everyone that thought of us and used Mining City Taxi this weekend!! You are all appreciated!!!

Mining City Taxi is doing our best to get from place to place and get people to where they need to go. We will not be taking any more time calls today as we cannot guarantee what time we can be anywhere. If you have somewhere you have to be today please call well in advance and we will do our best but today is one of those days. I cannot make any guarantees as to when we can be there. I am not going to put drivers lives at risk to hurry around to get to everybody as it is definitely not worth the risk today. Today is not the day to be going shopping or going to hang out somewhere. Today should be used for medical appointments and going to and from work. The less people on the streets the better we’re all going to be. It’s going to take some time to clean up from this mess. If the conditions continue to deteriorate, then we will need to shut down operations until tomorrow or until the city plows get some time to get the snow removed off the roads. We do appreciate your patience and just know that we are doing the best we possibly can.
