Let’s take a moment to discuss and cover transport inquiry etiquette. 🤎🦆🐰🐣🐐
To start with, it’s inappropriate to ask a transporter (or anyone) whether they would trade a firearm for animals or services. Please do not reach out and ask to barter fi****ms, weapons, or anything abnormal for exchange of an animal or a service. Thank you!
Additionally, as someone offering a transport service, I am driving 6-10 hours a day during these transports. That means I can’t reasonably respond to messenger messages, or text messages on my phone reliably while driving.
If you have an inquiry there is a correct and incorrect way to go about it while a transporter is on a route.
The BEST way, is to call immediately with your questions, if you’re unable to do so, send a message to the transport leading with something similar to -
☎️ “Hey, not sure if you’re driving but here’s what I’m interested in/ seeking”, “I’m unable to call right now (or let them know you can call) “please reach out, at your earliest convenience”
Furthermore, if you see a post from a transporter with something you’re interested in please do your own homework before reaching out. Most of us make it as easy as possible for you to answer most of your own questions via, our page. 📝
📍- Nearly all information is available on my page as far as where I’m going, (nearly every city listed) the days I will be there, and what varieties I’m able to transport. I also have it posted there is room for me to transport specific requests as well. My phone number is available on the page. I will answer any question you have for me, just please don’t make my job more difficult by expecting me to hand feed you the information already provided.
📣 Also, as a side note. MOST poultry and waterfowl breeders are not offering a surplus of singular hens, or 2,3,4 hens per cockerel/ drake. If that were the case the information would always be provided, per the post I made on their behalf.
If I state that there are pairs, and drakes available, please do not take it upon yourself to ask me to transport a trio, or a singular hen. (Over 30 of you have done that this week alone) it’s taken a lot of my time to communicate with well over 100 people this week, primarily answering questions I already provided the information for.
I would greatly appreciate it if those of you interested in anything moving forward would call, or ask whether I’m available to text or not in case I’m driving. Thank you! 🤎
