🚌💙 TWO TRAVEL DAYS DOWN… AND WE’RE IN SOUTH DAKOTA! 💙🚌

What a wonderful trip it has been so far! Two buses full of our Travel Family, making new friends, sharing lots of laughs, and already creating memories that will last long after we get home. ❤️

Last night we settled in at Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, and some of us enjoyed the beautiful evening sitting outside before calling it a night.

One of my favorite parts of traveling is the people you meet along the way! 🌎 We had the pleasure of meeting and spending some time with a family visiting from England. They’re here in the U.S. on a two-week holiday for a family wedding. I absolutely love meeting people from different places and hearing their stories—it’s one of those unexpected little things that makes traveling so special. ❤️

But now it’s time to hit the road because TODAY THE ADVENTURE REALLY BEGINS! 🤠🌽

Today we're taking our Paradise Travel Family on a little journey through history! 🚌📚

Did you know the Statue of Liberty has been welcoming people to New York Harbor for more than 130 years? 🇺🇸

🗽 HERE ARE A FEW FUN FACTS YOU MAY NOT KNOW:

🇫🇷 The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the people of France to the United States and was dedicated on October 28, 1886.

🔥 Her official name is “Liberty Enlightening the World.”

👑 The 7 rays on her crown represent the seven seas and seven continents, symbolizing liberty reaching around the world.

📜 The tablet in her left hand is inscribed JULY IV MDCCLXXVI — July 4, 1776, the date of the Declaration of Independence.

⛓️ Look closely at her feet and you'll find broken chains and shackles, representing freedom from oppression.

🟢 And she wasn't always green! The statue's exterior is copper. Over time, exposure to the elements created the green patina we recognize today.

🤯 ONE MORE FUN FACT: From the ground to the tip of her torch, Lady Liberty stands approximately 305 feet tall!
