We are proud to have played a role in restoring a piece of Ensley’s history.

The Color Project mural has been part of the Ensley community for more than a decade, serving as a celebration of the people, culture, and history that make the area unique. As the current owner of the building where the mural stands, DMT was honored to support artist Ukuu Tafari’s return to restore his original work and preserve its story for years to come.

At DMT, being part of a community means more than simply doing business there. It means respecting its history, supporting its culture, and doing our part to preserve the things that matter to the people who call it home.

We are grateful to everyone involved in bringing this important piece of Ensley’s history back to life and proud to have had a part in making it possible.

Stacy S.’s truck is looking good out on I-95!

Stacy joined DMT last October and is quickly approaching his first full year with the team. He runs out of our Birmingham terminal and works with Driver Manager Isiah P.

We always enjoy seeing our drivers and contractors out on the road, but it is even better when someone else takes notice. Stacy’s truck caught the attention of a fellow motorist on I-95, who snapped this photo while he was out on the road. It is a great reflection of the pride and professionalism Stacy brings with him wherever he goes.

Keep up the great work, Stacy!

Brake Safety Week is approaching fast.

Before it begins, take extra time during your pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to give your brakes a close look. This year’s focus is on the condition of brake drums and rotors, so watch for cracks, damage, excessive wear, or anything that could affect how your braking system performs.

Catching an issue before hitting the road can help prevent a violation, an out-of-service condition, or a much bigger problem down the line. Take the time, check it right, and keep safety first.

With students back in the classroom, there is more activity to watch for on and around the road.

From elementary and high school students in school zones and neighborhoods to college students walking near campuses and busy intersections, stay alert for increased pedestrian traffic in areas you may not normally expect it. Slow down in school zones, stop for school buses when required, and give yourself extra time and space to react.

A little extra attention goes a long way in helping everyone get where they are going safely.

Wesley M. joined DMT in June 2025 and continues to make safety a priority every time he hits the road. From taking the time to properly secure his load to checking his equipment and making sure everything is ready for the miles ahead, Wesley understands the importance of doing things the right way every time.

He runs out of our Scottsboro terminal with Driver Manager Skylar P., and we appreciate the hard work he puts in and the way he represents DMT everywhere he goes.

Keep up the great work, Wesley, and stay safe out there!

We are proud to recognize all of the drivers and contractors who received a clean inspection during the month of July!

At the beginning of the month, we set a goal of 31 clean inspections, and our team exceeded it with 33. Our drivers and contractors continue to raise the bar and surpass expectations.

Earning a clean inspection takes commitment, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication each of these drivers and contractors has shown throughout the month. Thank you for representing DMT Trucking so well. We are proud to have you on our team.

Special shoutout to our Broken Bow terminal for such a strong performance this month and getting the most clean inspections!

School is back in session, and we want to see those first-day smiles! DMT drivers, send your kids’ back-to-school photos to [email protected] to be featured on our page.🍎

As students return to the classroom, remember to plan for school zones along your route. Avoid them when possible, and always slow down, watch for pedestrians, and give school buses the space and right of way they need.

Mark your calendars! Brake Safety Week is coming up August 23–29, and this year’s focus is on the condition of brake drums and rotors.

During your pre-trip and post-trip inspections, check for cracks, missing pieces, heavy rust, deep grooves, and other signs of wear or damage. Catching these issues early can help prevent brake failure, costly violations, and serious accidents.

Take the time to inspect your equipment, report any concerns, and make sure your brakes are ready for the road. Safety starts before the wheels start turning!
