One of the best parts of being a travel advisor is the relationships you build along the way! ✈️🌴

I absolutely LOVE Palace Resorts, so getting the opportunity to finally meet my Miami-based Palace BDM in person while she was in Orlando for a tradeshow was such a treat! We were able to have dinner, talk all things Palace, and share our love of travel.

So grateful for this evening, this connection, and the partnerships that make this industry so special. Here’s to many more conversations, travels, and Palace memories ahead! 🥂🌴

I recently had the opportunity to sit down for lunch with my Beaches & Sandals Business Development Manager, Tyler Griffin and it was such a great conversation!

We talked all things Sandals 2.0, including the exciting new properties re-opening soon, and I also had the chance to get to know him better. Building relationships with my resort partners is such an important part of what I do as a travel advisor. The better I know the people and properties I work with, the better I can match my clients with the right experience. ❤️

He even sent me home with some great brochures to keep the Sandals & Beaches inspiration going!

From Rocky Mountaineer to Canyon Spirit 🚂✨

When I started Mixon Travel Co., I had a very specific goal in mind: I wanted to become certified with Rocky Mountaineer and help my clients experience the magic of luxury rail travel.

That dream became a reality in November 2024, when I earned my Rocky Mountaineer certification. Then, in June 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to experience Rocky Mountaineer firsthand—and it completely reinforced why I started this journey in the first place. 🏔️🚂

And now… there’s another adventure on the horizon! ❤️

Tonight, I officially completed my Canyon Spirit certification! 🎓🚂

Canyon Spirit brings that immersive rail experience to the American Southwest, traveling through the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado and Utah. From the Rocky Mountains to red-rock canyons, I cannot WAIT to experience this journey for myself so I can share it with my clients from a place of firsthand experience.

One of my favorite things about being a travel advisor is that the learning never stops. I don't just want to sell you a trip—I want to know the experience, understand the details, and help you choose the journey that's right for YOU.
