Makin Waves was Makin Memories last night. We ended our night at Tito's Cantina, supporting our local and favorite UFC champion Tito Ortiz, he made a big announcement the other day that he is officially closing his restaurant πThe community was shocked and saddened by this news. Tito has been a big part of the community for quite a while. He made a huge impact when he came here and helped out so graciously after hurricane Ian. But due to a traumatic boating accident back in February, it has left him with the decision to close his restaurant. I don't think he was prepared for how the community was going to say their goodbyes, because there was a line waiting at the door when he opened the restaurant yesterday. They ran out of food and liquor by 7:30 PM because it was so busy And they had to start turning people away. Sunday is officially the last day π₯ Of course we went there to show our support to him and his family. Since my partner Alfred is not able to celebrate his birthday next month at Tito's due to the closing, we decided to celebrate early and told everyone it was his birthday last night ππ€£ what a blast we had though. Even though the staff was not prepared for the amount of people that showed up, they handled it very well. They were understaffed and overworked but It was so much fun and everyone was so patient and nice. We hope Tito decides to still live here in Cape Coral and stay in our community. It's been an honor having him around. He's so friendly and personable. We didn't get a picture with him because he ended up leaving early. But hopefully we can get back and get a photo with him before they officially close on sunday. Godspeed to Tito and his family ππ
