Ever try to fish in a Washing Machine? Well, the famous Bux-Mont-Hatteras Fishing Team tried yesterday and Mother Ocean won. The seas were extremely unsettled despite a NOAA Ovean Forecast that called for nicely spaced 2 to 4 footers. We experienced steady, close together 5 to 7s with the occasional "Rogue Wave" thrown in for good measure. 10oz sinkers could not hold bottom in a wind driven current that was moving the boat along at almost 3 MPH!......waaaaaaaay to fast for Fluke fishing! We ran up to Delaware Bay and found similar wind and current conditions with at least smaller (but still unsettled) waves. A final stop in the protected waters of Cape May Harbor produced seaweed and no Fluke! Congratulations to the Team (Rod, Don, Kevin, John and Bill) for sticking it out. It was a bad day for fishing but the old adage is still true.......it's better than a good day at work!! Thanks, Guys!
