Yesterday a large vessel didn't slow down as we were performing a salvage operation almost injuring our diver.
Please slow down peoples lives are at stake.

The New Jersey State Police Marine Services Bureau reminds all boaters of New Jersey’s “Slow Speed/No Wake” rules:

• Title 13:82 1.7 – Speed – No person shall operate a vessel where its speed and/or wake may cause danger or injury to life or limb, or damage to property.

• Title 12:7 45 – Speed of Power Vessels – The speed of power vessels shall at all times be regulated to avoid danger or injury to any craft (floating, moored, anchored, or underway) or to piers, wharfs, bulkheads, draw spans, or other waterfront construction, either directly or by the effect of the wash or wave raised by such vessel.

Reduce speed to slow speed/no wake when passing:

• Any marina, pier, dock, wharf, or abutment within 200 ft (except on Lake Hopatcong, per N.J.A.C. 13:82 3.11)
• Work barges, platforms, or floats actually engaged in work related activity
• Bridge openings of 400 ft or less
• Lagoons, canals, or confined areas less than 200 ft wide
• Vessels not under command
• Emergency vessels displaying sequential flashing or rotating blue lights
• Vessels engaged in Coast Guard recognized activities displaying rotating or sequential flashing red and yellow lights.

Slow down, be respectful — keep our waters safe!

Yesterday Capt. Kevin Picked up a vessel near Avalon and towed to Sea Isle City boat ramp.

On the return trip he successfully assisted a 35' Albemarle who ran aground(unfortunately the gopro died and I didn't get any footage). Both members were happy to have a membership as it cost them $0 for the service today.

A quick parts delivery this afternoon. A vessel contacted me asking to pick up and deliver fuel pump as they were passing Cape May.
My answer as always, "I can do that."

They called into Utch's marina paid for the fuel pump. I picked it up and met them just south of Cape May Inlet. Safely transferred the pump and we both went our separate ways.

Another happy customer.

Captain Gavin on the job! 41' Galeon ran aground in Cape May Harbor today. Captain Gavin was able to get them back underway safely.

The Captain was lucky enough to be a member which saved him over $1200 today. The Member paid $0 for today's service.

Took advantage of the low tide and wind today to show Captain Gavin tricky areas in Stone Harbor and Avalon. Captain Gavin will primarily be in this area. If you see him take a picture and tag us in a post!

Hello HarpoonsNation —
Over the past few days, we’ve had a lot of time to reflect on how fortunate we were when a fire broke out behind our beloved Tiki Bar last week.
When it happened, the Town Bank Volunteer Fire Company — just a few blocks from us — was on scene within minutes and contained it before it had a chance to spread.
At the same time, we had incredible support from surrounding departments — Villas, Erma, Rio Grande, and Cape May City — all there and ready in case things escalated. That kind of response reminds you what community really means.
Now it’s our turn to show up and give back to our hometown fire company.
This Saturday, May 9, we’ll be supporting the Town Bank Volunteer Fire Company. Details below.
We hope you’ll come out and be part of it.
