Lycoming has extended the TBO on many popular engine models to 2600 hours. This applies to factory new engines, but not to overhauls.

This makes me think about all the times I’ve heard aircraft owners and buyers become very concerned when the engine was approaching 2000 hrs (the old TBO). Proof that these engines easily extend well beyond 2000 hrs!
