Curby the Van

Last weekend was Laura's birthday and so we splurged for a spiffy hotel room with ocean view in Carmel-By-The-Sea and even took off work Friday. We had lots of good shopping, relaxing, food and treats including wine tasting and more. The weather was absolutely perfect being cool in the shade and toasty in the sunshine.

They're still recovering from recent storms as there is very little beach right now... waves are still crashing up against the walls and all the stairs down to the beach are closed but it was beautiful.

After much thought about sealing the hole & not ruining my home made plate if it ever needs to be removed again, I decided a sheet of rubber would minimize any chance of leaks when stuck down with double sided 3M tape around the perimeter & use the steel patch plate to protect the rubber. I think it worked out great as the plate can simply be unscrewed if the need ever arises 👍
