The USPS has filed proposed rate changes—and if you rely on Marketing Mail, this is worth your attention.

This isn’t just about a small increase. The proposal includes pricing adjustments, new fees, and operational changes that could impact how efficiently your mail program runs.

It’s not final yet, which means there’s still time to review your strategy before anything is approved.

If you’re sending mail at scale, now is the moment to take a closer look and make sure you’re set up the right way moving forward.

Want help breaking it down? We’re here to talk.

Another Investment in Speed, Precision, and Scale

At American Litho, we continue to invest in technology that directly benefits our customers.

The addition of the Heidelberg CX 102-6 LX3 strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality commercial and packaging print with speed, flexibility, and repeatable color accuracy—at scale. The press is scheduled to be on-line by the end of February 2026.

Why it matters:

This addition gives our customers faster turnarounds, broader substrate flexibility, and consistently accurate color—helping them hit the mailbox, shelf, or market with confidence.

“Our focus is making sure every investment we make improves ex*****on on the floor. This press raises the bar for consistency, efficiency, and quality, while giving our teams all the tools they need to deliver for our customers every day.”
— Tony Ferruzza, General Manager

From automation to advanced drying and coating capabilities, the CX 102-6 LX3 reinforces what our customers expect from us: reliability, efficiency, and performance under pressure.

Blog 3 of 3: Financial Direct Mail Infrastructure

The final chapter of our financial direct mail series focuses on what most marketers never see—but what ultimately determines performance: the systems behind scale, personalization, and in-home delivery precision.

If you’re responsible for results and risk, this is the conversation that matters.

Stability Returns to Postal Pricing — What Direct Mail Marketers.

Need to Know. In a move that brings long-needed predictability back to the mailbox, the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) has issued an order limiting the United States Postal Service to no more than one Market Dominant rate increase per year through 2030.

For large direct mail marketers, this matters.

Just as important, the PRC reaffirmed workshare protections, preventing USPS from reducing passthroughs tied to avoided costs. In plain terms: the efficiencies marketers invest in—presort, drop-shipping, co-mailing, and logistics optimization—remain protected.

This decision was strongly supported by PostCom, and it sends a clear signal: smart mail preparation will continue to be rewarded.

Why this is important for enterprise mailers:

More predictable cost modeling for multi-year campaigns
Greater confidence in long-term postal strategies
Preserved incentives for operational efficiency and volume optimization

For brands mailing at scale, this isn’t just regulatory news, it’s a planning advantage. Fewer pricing surprises mean more room to focus on performance, personalization, and integration across channels.

At American Litho, this reinforces what we’ve long believed: the strongest postal strategies are built by analyzing every step, every cost, and every opportunity—before ink ever hits paper. Stability in postal policy gives marketers the runway. Ex*****on is where the advantage is won!

With Rob Glaza serving on the Board of PostCom, American Litho remains committed to assisting our customers with the most current and reliable postal information.
