They say a picture is worth 1,000 words. Sometimes when we are dealing with a shipper that isn't used to preparing a shipment for a 2,000 mile trip there are 3 sides: The customer's side, the driver's side and the truth! đŸ˜† The 1st picture is what the driver was expecting to pickup today, the second is what he actually showed up to and the last picture is the resolution. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: We don't only stick to domestic shipping here in the U.S. We also do some work across the border with our fellow Canadians, ayyyy. I'm pretty sure we've moved these 5 rental forklifts to and from British Columbia for at least 5-6 years now for one of my favorite customers to work with over the years. Believe me when I say that there is ALOT that goes on behind the scenes to coordinate all customs paperwork with the customer and customs broker to set up the border crossing. The last thing you want is for your shipment to get held up at the border and have a truck charging you an hourly rate for standby time. That's why it's important to work with people on these project that pay attention to minor details. Without them, it can escalate into a major headache. Glad these have all gone smooth over the years!

This has been a nice little project so far: 10 loads of warehouse racking from Kent to Chehalis, WA. My preferred carrier took 9 of them so makes life easier when you only have one trucking company to deal with for most of it. Serving the material handling industry has been one of our specialties for the last 15 years or so. Another load for the road! Next up we have a Zenith 12L engine that was picked up for a good customer of mine in Northern Cal heading to the arm pit of California - Madera. If you have ever been through there during the summer, you would know why they call it that. However the farming season is booming this time of year and these guys work around the clock so they go through a lot of these bad boys, I'm sure!

Another 2 for Tuesday! This propane forklift was originally picked up in Clackamas, OR and delivered to Vegas by my customer's "other" broker. It was the wrong unit. Second time around, my customer hired us to bring their customer the correct forklift and transport the wrong one back to Clackamas. Always important to check the make/model and serial numbers prior to taking responsibility for it and putting it on your trailer. I couldn't imagine having to write a check for that mistake. If you need a detail oriented 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) that dots all the I's and covers both of our butts - give us a call. You'll never shop around again!

Loaded in Lynden - sounds like a country song! This backhoe / loader is on it's way home. Loaded up just south of the Canadian border (Lynden, WA) and enroute to another satisfied customer in Eugene, OR area. Whether it's local, regional or over the road - we got you covered! Helped a customer arrange transport for 3 propane forklifts this morning, picking up in Medford, OR and will deliver to another satisfied customer in the Portland area tomorrow morning. There was only one person onsite at the shipper location, he went to lunch while my driver loaded these. Nothing out of the norm. Turns out, the driver just had congestive heart failure less than a year ago and called me because he was starting to get light headed from chaining these down and he was worried about passing out. So I kept him on the phone while he drank some water and made sure he took it easy until the shipper came back from lunch. Would be some scary s**t for sure, glad he's ok!

We don't just move full truckloads and over dimensional freight, we also ship partial shipments for a discounted rate. This piece of 20' pipe is only 10" in diameter and weighs 300 lbs going from Salt Lake City, UT to Boise, ID so believe me when I say that drivers will get creative when it comes to maximizing revenue for their trailers. Their next stop could be loading a tractor going to Portland and this piece of pipe will either sit on the trailer next to it or slide nicely between the wheels of the tractor. The more shipments they get on their trailer, the more money they will make - and you get a discount by shipping it that way. Doesn't matter how long, wide or tall - J Team help ships it all!
