Next Monday, Wyoming Reginal ARFF Training Facility is hosting our first 2024 basic ARFF 40-hour class. We have 9 students joining us from Sheridan County Airport, Yellowstone Regional Airport, Rocky Mountain Metro Airport, and Provo Airport. We are looking forward to this upcoming class.

The live burns scenarios exceed the FAA’s minimum requirements under Part 139 and provides students valuable experience with different types of scenarios including application techniques, utilization of SCBA, and attack scenarios. The Casper/Natrona County International Airport has an opening for a Public Safety officer. Duties include law enforcement, ARFF (Aircraft Rescue Firefighter), and medical responses on the Airport as well as Operations duties supporting FAA Part 139 certification. Experience as a peace officer required, with ARFF/firefighter, EMR, or airport operations experience preferred. Applicants must be able to pass a background check, polygraph, drug test, psychological test, and a physical. This is a full-time position with benefits working a 48/96 schedule (2 days on, 4 days off). Salary is based on experience. Applications may be picked up at the Airport Administration office #208 located on the second floor of the terminal building between 7 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday or can be requested by calling: (307) 472-6688 ext. 215. Applications will be accepted at the Airport Administration Office, 8500 Airport Parkway, no later than March 13th.
