Building a better trucking company for 70+ years! We're a trusted partner to leading brands, delivering scalable freight solutions nationwide.

Don Hummer Trucking is a Midwest-based for-hire carrier specializing in dedicated fleet and truckload services. In business for more than 60 years, the Hummer name has been a trusted partner in transportation. Buck Hummer first hauled livestock for family farms, auctions and packing plants throughout the Midwest. He was followed by his son, Don Hummer, who learned the business from his father before establishing his own business in 1975. Don Hummer Trucking Corporation was incorporated in 1982 and now both of Don’s sons are actively involved in business operations and continuing to build upon the Hummer name.

Yesterday, we participated in the Iowa Motor Truck Association’s Trucking Delivers for Iowa Tour at Kirkwood Community College, where attendees got an up-close look at the trucking industry. We’re grateful for the opportunity to showcase an industry that keeps Iowa moving and inspire the next generation. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible!

Life on the open road can get lonely, but company driver Jamilynn says she wouldn’t trade her favorite coworker for the world! Jamilynn shares, “He’s super opinionated, loves chasing grasshoppers, and steals the spotlight everywhere we go, especially at the Hummer terminal, where the team greets him before they even look at me!”
He loves life on the road so much that by the end of home time, he’s ready to hop back in the cab!
There’s nothing better than having your best friend along for the ride!

Most of our drivers know Patti, one of our incredible dispatchers. Since she loves learning more about her drivers, we wanted to see how well her drivers know her! Comment your answers to the questions, and we'll see who wins, next week on Patti Trivia!
