When Wes and his family set out aboard their 2016 Outer Reef 620 Trident Motoryacht SALTY CALI, they weren't creating a video for a contest.

They were preserving something far more meaningful.

Captured during family adventures throughout the Exumas, Bahamas—their favorite cruising destination—the footage reflects what life aboard is truly about: time together, unforgettable experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime.

As Wes shared, these moments are something he always dreamed of, and he doesn't take for granted the opportunity to experience them with his family.

For 25 years, Outer Reef owners have used their yachts as platforms for exploration, connection, and unforgettable experiences. Recently, we hosted a fun "Life Aboard Your Outer Reef" Video Contest, offering a glimpse into those journeys through the eyes of the people living them.

The owner-operator sector of the marine industry requires an intentional balance of high-end manufacturing standards and manageable overall lengths. Outer Reef Yachts addressed this demographic with the 540 Adventure, pairing a 56 foot 5 inch footprint with a 2,000 nautical mile transoceanic capability. 📈 📊

To assist buyers with spatial evaluation, the company has launched a cross-platform 3D visualization tool that maps out the interior layouts designed by Julian Moore Design. Mechanically, the boat relies on a resin-infused PVC core sandwich hull built in a female mold, twin Volvo Penta conventional shaft drives, and specialized Seatorque enclosed drive shaft systems to reduce operating emissions and vibration. The engineering demonstrates how commercial-grade reliability can be repackaged for private owner-operators. 💼 ⚓️
