This week is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's "Our Roads, Our Safety" week! FMCSA and it's safety partners (like us!) want to remind everyone that safer roads require all of us to do our part, because every safe decision behind the wheel helps save lives. Scroll and read below for important tips on safe driving. Safety starts with all of us!
🚨See Big. Drive Smart:
Big trucks and buses have big blind spots and make wide turns. Stay out of those blind spots, never cut in front of a large truck or bus, and give them extra room to turn.
🚨Pros Lead the Way:
Commercial drivers don’t just move freight and passengers—they set the safety standard on our roads. Every trip is an opportunity to lead by example. Stay focused, maintain a safe speed, buckle up, and drive distraction-free.
🚨Power of Partnerships:
Road safety is a shared responsibility, and every partner has a role to play. From government agencies and industry leaders to nonprofits, educators, and community organizations, partnerships help carry lifesaving messages farther and make our roads safer for everyone.
🚨Building Safe Habits Early
The habits drivers build today shape the future of our roads. Teaching young drivers how to safely share the road with large trucks and buses helps create a safer tomorrow for everyone.
🚨Professional Drivers. Professional Safety
America's roads rely on pros to deliver food, fuel, and everything in between. Our commitment to safety helps protect everyone who shares our roads.
