✨ MONDAY MOTIVATION: Don’t wait for “someday.”
I recently shared a post that said I’m not waiting until retirement to travel - and there’s a very personal reason why I feel so strongly about that.
My dad worked his whole life, retired… and lost his vision just one year later.
My mom worked her whole life and lost her life one year before she ever got the chance to retire.
Those two things changed the way I look at life.
So no, I’m not waiting until retirement to see the world.
And that doesn’t mean everyone needs to take 10 trips a year. That’s simply what this season of life looks like for me.
For you, it might be one big trip a year. A weekend away. Going to the concert. Taking your kids to the beach. Visiting the friend you keep saying you’ll visit. Or simply using the PTO you’ve been saving.
The point isn’t how often you travel.
The point is don’t keep putting off the things that matter to you because you assume there will be more time later.
I’ve learned firsthand that retirement isn’t promised. Good health isn’t promised. And none of us really know how much time we get.
So while I have the time, the health, and the opportunity to make these memories with the people I love? I’m going. ❤️
And whatever your version of “I’m going” looks like, I hope you do it too. 🫶🏻
