Henry Horton Golf Course The Henry Horton Golf Course at Henry Horton State Park provides one of the greatest golf course layouts in the State of Tennessee.

Henry Horton was the first state park golf course to be built in what would later become the Tennessee Golf Trail. Opened in the early 1960s, the Buford Ellington championship golf course at Henry Horton State Park is one of the finest courses in the state of Tennessee.

The golf course will be closed starting Friday, January 3rd as a bunker renovation project is implemented. All bunkers on the course will be renovated. The course opening is projected for mid-February and will depend on weather conditions and the completion of this project. Check our website for updates at tnstateparks.com/golf/course/henry-horton.

The Henry Horton Golf Course Clubhouse will be open daily from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM for the duration of the project. The Golf Course Snack Bar will remain closed until the course reopens.

Congratulations to Sherri Van Grevenhof for her Hole in One on Hole # 2 this morning! Playing at 139 yards, Sherri made her first career ace with a 7 iron! Witnesses were her husband Jonathan Van Grevenhof (pictured with Sherri) and Joe Pudlowski. Well done Sherri!
