If you’re a Carnival casino player, has the new Carnival Rewards program changed the way you look at cruising? 🎰🚢

Does the new program make it easier to cruise AND keep playing in the casino… or does it make you think twice about putting more money through the slots and tables?

And for those of you who weren’t happy with the changes… did you just move on after September 1st?

Here’s a question I’ve been thinking about with these new loyalty tiers…

What should matter more: how much money you spend, or how many ships you’ve sailed?

And honestly, why are we okay with loyalty programs that can incentivize cruise lines to keep taking things that used to be included and turn them into ala carte purchases?

Wouldn’t it be simpler to just include more of those options in the base cruise fare and raise the cost of boarding?

Virgin Voyages showed that an all-inclusive approach could work. But when the rest of the industry didn’t follow, they eventually changed course too. They were banking heavily on the exclusivity of an adults-only experience… but realistically, other cruise lines could do adults-only as well.

So where do you stand?

💰 Spend more = better loyalty status?
🚢 Sail more = better loyalty status?
🎟️ Or should loyalty be based on something completely different?

Is Carnival forgetting about solo cruisers? 👀

I honestly think solo cruisers might be one of the most overlooked groups in the Carnival family.

They’re already dealing with paying what can essentially feel like double occupancy just to cruise alone, there are fewer stateroom options, and now when it comes to promos and the new Carnival Rewards program… where’s the love?

Solo cruisers spend money too. And in many cases, they’re paying a premium to do it.

So why does it feel like they’re getting left out of so many of the perks and promotions?

If you’re a solo cruiser, I want to hear from YOU.

Do you feel neglected by Carnival and the new Rewards program? Or do you think Carnival is actually doing enough for solo travelers?

There are definitely TWO camps when it comes to the new Carnival Rewards program… 😂

You’ve got the people who care about the perks, the status, the color of that Sail & Sign card and squeezing every benefit out of their loyalty.

And then you’ve got the people who are like… “I just want to be on a cruise. Give me a balcony and a Guy’s Burger and I’m good.” 😂

Some people want to spend as little as possible. Others look at vacation and say, “This is my vacation… let’s not spare any expense!”

And honestly? Neither camp is wrong.

Cruise loyalty is only a problem if you care what status or color your card is. 😉

So which camp are YOU in? Are the perks a big part of your cruise experience, or do you just want to get on the ship and have a good time?

September 1st has arrived, which means the old VIFP program has officially been replaced by Carnival Rewards.

If you already opted in, you’re enrolled — but now comes the important part…

What the heck do we do now? 😂

In this video, I break down the biggest differences between VIFP and Carnival Rewards, including:

🚨 DON’T PANIC, CARNIVAL CRUISERS! 🚨

I’ve seen a LOT of frustration over the new Carnival Rewards page, so let’s clear something up.

If you log into your Carnival profile on Carnival.com or the Carnival Hub app, go to the Carnival Rewards page, then select My Carnival Rewards.

You’ll see your Rewards card with the color of your current status starting tomorrow, September 1st. 👀

But underneath that, you’ll see “Status Progress”… and THAT’S where people are getting confused.

You may see a color that’s BELOW your current loyalty stage.

That is NOT saying you’ve been downgraded.

It’s showing what your status could become in 2029 if you don’t spend any money with Carnival between now and then.

Yep… you have to read the explanation underneath the whole section! 😂

So before you start freaking out because your Status Progress color looks different, check what the page actually says.

🚨 CARNIVAL CHECK-IN UPDATE! 🚨

Okay Carnival cruisers… we finally have an answer!

After yesterday’s post about some cruisers seeing their online check-in open only 8 days before sailing instead of the usual 14 or 16 days, John Heald himself responded to my Instagram post and confirmed what’s happening.

The recent change was due to server maintenance, and once the system updates are completed, Carnival’s check-in windows will return to the 14- and 16-day periods.

There’s no exact date yet for when that will happen, but at least we know this isn’t a permanent change! 🙌

Okay Carnival… when did THIS happen? 👀😂

I just noticed my online check-in is showing 8 days before boarding instead of the usual 14 days.

And unless I completely missed something, I haven’t seen a press release, an announcement from John Heald, or anything officially explaining the change.

So… is this connected to the new Carnival Rewards program, or did Carnival quietly change the check-in window?

I’m honestly cool with it — but give a guy a heads up! 😂
