RCAC APEX Accelerator's mission is to assist West Virginia businesses with government contracting. The Regional Contracting Assistance Center, Inc.

(RCAC) APEX Accelerator is a non-profit corporation
funded by the Department of Defense (DoD), the State of West Virginia, and private corporations to provide assistance to West Virginia companies seeking to do business with federal, state, or local government agencies. RCAC has fulfilled this role since 1987 and currently services the entire state. Throughout the United States, similar centers h

ave been set up; these centers are called APEX Accelerators. This APEX Accelerator is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.

DoD and SBA Mentor Protégé Programs (MPP)

The Mentor Protégé Program (MPP) has been established to help small businesses develop and expand in the government marketplace with the assistance of large businesses. The Department of Defense (DoD) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) both have MPP programs.
