Beaver Island Boat Company (BIBCO) is seeking a motivated Assistant Operations Manager in Charlevoix, MI.
About the Role:

Support the Operations Manager in all aspects of ferry operations, maintenance, safety compliance, and team leadership.
Help coordinate daily vessel and terminal activities, employee training, performance management, and regulatory requirements (US Coast Guard, MDOT, etc.).
Oversee systems, safety policies, scheduling, and special projects that keep our passenger, vehicle, and freight service running smoothly year-round.

Ideal Candidate:

Degree in Business, Public Administration, Marine/Nautical Science, or related field + 3+ years managerial experience (marine or transportation preferred).
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with compliance, training, and operations in a fast-paced environment is a big plus.

We don't want to jinx it, but we're on schedule today, and the Bridge is operational. Please allow extra time to drop off your luggage, check into the office, and park your vehicle. If you were planning to fly and your plans have changed, we still need you to arrive 1 to 1.5 hours before departure at the boat dock. We will not transport luggage on the shuttle, so please give yourself enough time to drop off your luggage and catch the shuttle.

As a reminder, any luggage or freight items over 50 # per ticketed passenger will be charged as freight. This includes tents, coolers, wagons, etc. Please declare those items when you purchase your tickets.
