We all know that life happens, and our situation can change - sometimes in a moment. 😔And, sometimes that change means that we have to make decisions that are heart wrenching and difficult. 😢 We are very grateful that we have the compassionate and loving breeders that we work with, and that when a puppy/dog owner cannot - for whatever reason - take care of their precious baby, that they will take that puppy/dog back. 😇 It is not easy for an owner, but it is not easy for the breeder either. Now they have an older puppy/dog that they have to not only take care of, but they have to figure out what to do with them. Do they put him/her in their breeding program, do they try and find a new owner? What will they do? It can be a struggle. But, we also know that everyone will feel better knowing that that precious baby does not go to a shelter or somewhere that is "not a good fit".
We had a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog last week that had to be returned. It was very difficult - not only for the dog, the owner and the breeder, but it is hard on us too. We love doing what we do - it brings so much joy to people, and when that joy is turned into sorrow, we feel it too. Just know that your breeder is a special person, and there is no judgement. 🩷
