Everyone say hello to our new friend Brenda. She is just the sweetest thing and has a wonderful sense of humor. 😂😂. We picked Brenda up today and took her to the bank, Roses, and Food Lion. We look forward to seeing her on a regular basis.

The extreme heat can be especially dangerous for older adults.

Take a few minutes today to call, text, or visit the seniors in your life. Make sure they have plenty of water, a cool place to stay, and everything they need to stay safe.

And don’t forget about neighbors who may live alone. A simple check-in can make a world of difference.

❤️🇺🇸 One of our regular riders, Deborah, helped arrange for the Quilts of Valor program to honor local veterans with handmade quilts. These quilts — many lovingly made by church groups and volunteers — are presented as a small “thank you” for the sacrifices these men and women have made for our country.

Watching each veteran wrapped in a quilt was incredibly moving. A simple blanket may seem small, but the love, gratitude, and honor behind every stitch spoke volumes.

Thank you, Deborah, for helping make this special day happen for these deserving veterans. ❤️🤍💙

When the Bolin family started Senior Rides a year and a half ago, we knew there was a need… helping seniors who either can’t drive anymore or simply don’t feel comfortable behind the wheel.

What we didn’t realize was just how deeply connected we would become to the people we serve. Somewhere along the way, our customers became family. ❤️

We’ve been blessed to help some of our sweet seniors get to appointments, run errands, move into new homes, and navigate seasons of life that can feel overwhelming alone.

Most recently, we learned that one of our precious regular customers, Miss Etta Mae, had been living without a working oven in her apartment. So we set out to change that. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of Brenda Gordon Bolin, Etta Mae now has a new oven and can cook again in her own home.

Moments like this remind us that Senior Rides is about so much more than transportation. It’s about showing up for people, building relationships, and loving our community well.

Being able to bless others truly is what it’s all about. 💛

It’s such a pleasure for Senior Rides to be able to provide transportation for our Korean friends while they were in Kings Mountain doing business the last 3 days. We stopped by Parker’s Amoco for a quick visit. (Shout out to Mike Ellis for arranging the ride!)
