Goodknight Farms

Goodknight Farms Goodknight Farms is a fifth generation family owned and operated diversified seed production, custom farming and cattle operation located in Southwest, OK.

Goodknight Farms is operated by Cody Goodknight in partnership with his father, John Goodknight. The farm was established in 1911 on 160 acres seven miles northwest of Chattanooga, Oklahoma. Today, we are managing 4,800 dryland acres consisting of 3,500 owned acres and 1,300 leased acres. In 2013, Cody took over the management roll of the farm. Cody, a fifth-generation farmer, is following in the

footsteps of his ancestors while embracing innovative technologies. Over 16 years ago, John had the foresight to transfer the farm to a no-till farming operation. The primary cash crops are certified wheat seed, cotton, and milo (grain sorghum.) The farm also raises sunflower, sesame, oats, canola, and winter peas. In addition to managing their own farm, they also provide custom farming to others. The custom farming includes no-till planting, spraying, seed cleaning, harvesting, and trucking. The land also consist of 1,600 native range and improved grass acres. We utilize the grassland, wheat pasture, and cover crops for our cattle operation.

Check out this new variety from OK Genetics.
Orange Blossom CL+ is a new Clearfield variety developed at Oklahoma State University.
This wheat will be a great rotation tool to help clean up winter annual weeds.
Orange Blossom will be limited supply so get on the list early.
The wheat is small but looks good coming out of winter dormancy, hopefully more spring rains to come.
