o experience the unique community of the newest town in Maine, Chebeague Island. Our ferry service operates several trips daily between Chebeague Island and Yarmouth, Maine. The 15-minute ride carries an average of nearly 10,000 passengers per month on our 103 passenger ferry, the Islander.

❌Why is the upper deck closed a lot?
We have to have two deckhands to open the upper deck, per the Coast Guard.
👍When is the upper deck open? During summer weekends and holidays, we schedule an upper deckhand.
🎒Can I bring my luggage upstairs?
We would much rather luggage and groceries be left in the stern freight area. Personal items often end up in walkways and carrying them down the ladder isn't fun either.
🐶Why isn't my dog allowed upstairs? Most dogs do great going up the ladder, but not going down the ladder... Several dogs decided that was way too scary.

😎Opening the upper deck increases the amount of people we can carry on the ferry!
👋It is a great place to watch for family members and say hello.
🌳We have some other options for some fresh air including the bow and stern.
