This market requires two things: patience and planning.

If you only have one… it’s gonna be a long year 🤣

Here's a little freight industry truth bomb for today 😌🚛 It's a tad long~winded but its honest and useful.

I am a 3PL broker and i can tell you this:

One thing that is quietly driving shipping costs up across the board? Brokers padding invoices because they assume customers won’t question it.

*Liftgate fees added when nobody used a liftgate.
*Appointment fees for places that never required one.
*Limited access charges on standard commercial docks.
*And my personal favorite? Carriers issuing reweighs and reclassifications like their scale was blessed directly by the freight gods and nobody caring to dispute it 🙃

Now don’t get me wrong—sometimes those charges ARE legitimate. Reclasses happen. Incorrect weights happen. Accessorials happen.

But there’s also a difference between passing along actual charges… and using them as an opportunity to quietly stack extra margin on the backend because “the customer will never know.”

That kind of behavior raises the industry standard in all the wrong ways. Customers start thinking every shipment should cost a fortune, honest brokers look overpriced trying to compete fairly, and shippers end up feeling like the whole industry is one giant bait-and-switch.

A good broker should be protecting customers from unnecessary costs—not using confusion and carrier jargon as a profit strategy 😅

Transparency matters. Especially in LTL, where invoices can turn into a scavenger hunt real quick.

You want the real deal~ here we are.

Post-holiday freight weeks are always a little chaotic 🤦‍♀️🚛

Some people hold shipments before the long weekend… and then Tuesday hits and suddenly EVERYONE needs freight picked up immediately.

This is when terminals get backed up, carriers get overloaded, transit times stretch out, and inboxes start filling up with “just checking on this” emails before the freight has even had time to move yet 😭

A lot of people think that freight picks right back up where it left off after a holiday, but that’s not really how it works.

One extra day off creates a ripple effect across pickups, deliveries, dock schedules, and linehaul routes for days afterward.

This is one of those weeks where patience, planning, and communication matter a whole lot more than usual.

The freight world is definitely freight-ing this week and I am here for it!

Happy Friday and happy Memorial Day weekend 🇺🇸🚛

Just a friendly freight reminder that Monday is a holiday🤗... which means most terminals and carriers will be closed and freight will not be moving like normal.

If transit times seem a little funky next week… that’s why 😅

This weekend is about more than cookouts and an extra day off of work.

It’s about remembering and honoring the men and women who gave everything for this country and the freedoms we get to enjoy every day.

Wishing everyone a safe weekend, safe travels, good food, and hopefully not that one customer that always emails “any updates?” on a shipment that hasn’t even picked up yet 😂

We’ll be back at it Tuesday.

Freight has seasons too my friends—and this is the busy one 🚛🔥

Produce season is ramping up, capacity is tightening, transit times are stretching, and suddenly everyone who waited until the last minute needs their shipment delivered “ASAP.” Why???

This is the time of year where freight gets unpredictable real quick. Trucks become harder to find, carriers more selective, and the same shipment that moved easily a month ago suddenly takes extra planning and patience.

And no… it’s not because brokers and carriers woke up and chose chaos 😅
Not because we are trying to make more money off of you...

This is just what happens when the market gets busy.

The companies staying ahead right now are the ones planning earlier, communicating better, and understanding that freight doesn’t magically move faster just because somebody sends an all caps email.😬

May is definitely May-ing out there🌸

Weather delays hit different because nobody can control Mother Nature😅

Traffic can be worked around.... Capacity managed..... BUT... heavy rain, storms, flooding, and high winds? UH-UH🙃

Sometimes freight simply has to slow down.
I’d absolutely rather explain a delay than explain why someone risked driving in unsafe conditions 🚛🌧️

The problem is that one weather delay usually creates a domino effect: missed pickups, backed up terminals, rescheduled deliveries, and overloaded routes the next day.

One storm can throw off freight movement for days.

Freight doesn’t stop for much… but Mother Nature still likes to remind us who’s really in charge sometimes 😅

🚨 Call-Out Post

“We’ve never had this issue before.”

We know..… because capacity wasn’t tight before.

Welcome to seasonal freight 😏

05/19/2026

Happy Monday to everyone except the people who waited until Friday afternoon to schedule freight for Monday delivery ~ little turkeys!

May freight is doing exactly what May freight always does ~ tightening capacity, stretching transit times, and reminding everyone that “normal shipping expectations” go right out the window this time of year.

Produce season is heating up, carriers are becoming more selective, and suddenly the same shipment that moved smoothly a month ago is taking extra time, extra planning, and sometimes extra money to get done right. Lord help me!

Before anyone says “well we’ve never had this happen before”, remember the market changes.

Freight is seasonal whether people want to admit it or not.

This is also the time of year where communication matters more than ever. A delayed pickup today can snowball into dock backups, missed appointments, upset customers, and a whole lot of finger pointing by Wednesday.

The companies staying ahead right now are the ones planning early, being realistic with timelines, and working with people who actually communicate when things shift instead of disappearing and hoping nobody notices 😅

Nobody likes delays.

Brokers don’t.

Carriers don’t.

Customers definitely don’t.

Pretending capacity isn’t tightening doesn’t magically create more trucks either.

So if your freight feels slower lately, you’re not crazy. The market is just market-ing again 🚛🔥

🚨 Call-Out Post

“We need this picked up today and delivered ASAP.”

…said after it sat on your dock for 3 days.

I love a challenge, but let’s be realistic 😅

05/15/2026

Consistency is boring… until it saves you 😉

Same lanes, solid planning, realistic expectations—that’s how you win in this market.

🚨 Call-Out Post

Last-minute freight in a tight market:

*cheapest carrier option
*zero flexibility

…and we’re all just supposed to act surprised when it’s delayed?
