Seniors have always held a special place in my heart, and that personal connection is a big part of why I started Transport-U.

For us, it’s about more than providing a ride. It’s about treating every senior we serve with patience, dignity and care while helping them maintain their independence.

As temperatures continue to rise, it's important to take extra precautions—especially for older adults and individuals living with chronic health conditions.

A few simple habits can make a big difference:💧 Drink water regularly (unless your healthcare provider has placed you on a fluid restriction).❄️ Stay in cool, air-conditioned spaces whenever possible.☀️ Limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day.⚠️ Pay attention to warning signs like dizziness, fatigue, headache, confusion, or muscle cramps.

If you're caring for an aging parent, spouse, family member, or friend, a quick check-in during hot weather can go a long way.

At Transport-U, every ride is about more than transportation. It's about helping our passengers travel safely while giving families peace of mind.

Today was Transport-U's 3rd year participating in the West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce Serving Our Seniors - West County Chamber West County Senior Lifestyle Expo , and once again, it did not disappoint

I came home tired, but it was a good tired.

We spent the day meeting seniors, caregivers, families, and community partners, answering questions, sharing information, and watching people have fun spinning the prize wheel.

We ended the day with a little over 200 raffle entries! Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, took a chance on the wheel, picked up information, or simply shared a conversation with us.

I was so busy that I hardly took any pictures, but that's okay. The best part of the day wasn't the photos it was the people.

We'll draw our raffle winner tomorrow morning, so stay tuned!

This event is one of my favorites every year because it gives us the opportunity to connect directly with the seniors and families we serve.

Thank you to my hubby and niece for helping me.
