I am so freaking excited to FINALLY show off these 2 incredible custom Ammodor cigar humidor builds!! After 6+ months in the making, we personally delivered these beasts to Jeff in Virginia this weekend. One for his office and the other for his gameroom!

This pair of custom Ammodor humidors were handcrafted using extremely rare, vintage 1960s shipping and storage containers for the FIM-43 “Redeye” guided missile system.

The FIM-43 was a shoulder fired surface-to-air rocket launcher used to destroy low-flying enemy aircraft. It was replaced by the infamous FIM-92 “Stinger” missile rocket launcher in the 1980s.

The humidors were pimped out with trays, dividers, heavy duty torque hinges, internal mounted Cigar Oasis hygrometers, SensorPush wireless monitors, Boveda Inc. humidification and more. Each humidor measures 66” x 14” x 14” and will hold several thousand ci**rs.

This was a first for us because we also built the console tables custom for each humidor! Handcrafted from industrial pipe and laminated wood tops. I even got to autograph them inside! 😁

I am so freaking excited to FINALLY show off these 2 incredible builds!! After 6+ months in the making, we personally delivered these beasts to Jeff in Virginia this weekend.

The Flat Ammo Crate Ammodor ammo can cigar humidor is a limited edition model built from a new “flat” style ammo can converted into a tactical cigar humidor!

These large ammo cans are constructed from heavy gauge steel, are lockable and can be securely stacked with ease. Air and watertight, side latch, carry handle and tie down mounting brackets on the side. Available in your choice of OD Green, Tan/FDE or Black ammo crate colors. Additional upgrades (not pictured) include an option top tray, lid lining and more.

The outside measures 16” x 5.5” x 9.25”. Rated to hold 175 ci**rs (measured using Corona size 5.5″ x 42 ring gauge with no trays). For optimal organization and to ensure adequate air circulation, we recommend storing approximately 75-100 ci**rs inside.

FOR SALE! We’re starting the New Year with a rare treat - a large custom Ammodor actually IN STOCK and ready to go!

This vintage U.S. Military wood crate originally held 100 40mm cartridges. Specifically, the M781 low velocity practice rounds used in training for hand-held gr***de launchers. It has been fully restored and converted into an Ammodor cigar humidor.

Lined with 1/4" solid Spanish Cedar wood, removable top tray, custom lid catch and pull handle, special torque hinges, foam gasket seal, complete interior and exterior sealant clear coat, felt lined bottom and more.

Measures 23” long x 11” wide x 12” tall outside. Interior storage space measures 19” long x 8.5” wide x 9” tall (1450 cu in capacity). Rated to hold 600 ci**rs but we recommend ~ 250 ci**rs.

Another custom build is heading out the door this week as we continue trying to catch up on our crazy backlog!

Brian in WI is getting his large vintage wood crate converted into an Ammodor cigar humidor. Originally used in the 1980s by the Czech army to hold 2 152mm artillery shell cartridges for Howitzer cannons.

Lined with 1/4" Spanish Cedar wood and complete with two top trays, custom storage for Boveda Inc. 320 gram size humidity boxes, Xikar Humifan, custom lid catch, foam gasket seal and more. Measures 32" x 17" x 11” and is rated to hold ~ 1550 ci**rs.

This week Chase in VA is getting his custom Ammodor cigar humidor converted from a vintage U.S. Army Signal Corps chest. Circa 1950s and originally held accessories for the AN/TPX-21 “interrogator” radar equipment. The AN/TPX-21 module was used along with other fixed ground radar equipment and fire control systems to determine Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) of nearby aircraft.

Lots of custom features including a removable top tray with integrated pull handle/divider, recess mounted internal Cigar Oasis Caliber 4R hygrometer, laser engraved plaque and Boveda Inc. 320 gram humidity box storage compartment. Exterior measures 17" long x 14” deep x 13" tall.

We've built some pretty rad Ammodors over the years, but this one might be the GOAT!

This incredible custom cigar humidor was handcrafted using an extremely rare, vintage 1960s metal crate designed for the FIM-43 “Redeye” guided missile system. Built by General Dynamics, the FIM-43 was a shoulder fired surface-to-air rocket launcher used to destroy low-flying enemy aircraft.

The FIM-43 Redeye was retired in the 1980s and replaced by the infamous and much more advanced FIM-92 “Stinger” rocket launcher that is still in use today.

Late last year we were luckily enough to acquire 3 of these insanely rare cases. It’s quite possible they are the only few left in existence! They have been sitting in a collector’s storage room since demilitarized in the 1980s.

Exterior measures around 66″ x 13″ x 13″. Rated to hold ~ 3550 ci**rs and boxes but for optimal organization and to ensure adequate air circulation, we recommend a 1150 ci**rs capacity.

A couple more of our popular US Army Medical Division First Aid Kit humidors built and ready to go! Converted into Ammodor cigar humidors by repurposing larger size metal, WWII era medical supply containers that were originally mounted in Jeeps and other military vehicles. These larger first aid containers are double the width of the standard First Aid Kit models (same length and height).

Features two separate 1/4" solid Spanish Cedar wood compartments and holds 25+ ci**rs total. Free with a Boveda seasoning and humidity packets. Handmade in the USA.
