We're excited to announce additional United Express flights between Cheyenne and Denver, operated by SkyWest Airlines!

Starting January 2027, you'll have access to one more daily flight on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays — giving you more options to connect to United's global network for business or leisure travel.

This expansion reflects the growing demand we're seeing right here in Cheyenne, and we couldn't be more grateful for the continued support of our community.

Wyoming airports contribute $3.5 billion a year to state and local economies!

A new WYDOT Aeronautics Division study shows how much our public airports matter. Cheyenne Regional Airport generates $285.9 million in annual economic activity, supports 2,033 jobs, and brings about 21,600 business and recreational visitors to the area each year.

CYS is one of 34 commercial and general aviation airports across the state that help keep Wyoming's commerce moving.

On August 19, the Cheyenne Regional Airport ran a full-scale emergency exercise - the kind of training that keeps our first responders sharp and ready during an emergency.

This triennial exercise is required for every Part 139 commercial airport, but for us it's more than a checkbox. It's how we make sure that if the unexpected ever happens, the people responding are practiced, coordinated, and confident.

The training brought together multiple agencies including Cheyenne Fire Rescue & WY Air National Guard Fire & Emergency Services. That kind of teamwork doesn't happen by accident. It's built ahead of time, so it's ready the moment it's needed.

Big things are happening on the ground! 🚧

Construction is officially under way on the General Aviation Taxiway A1.

Out with the old, in with the new; crews are clearing away worn-out pavement and laying fresh groundwork for a smoother, safer taxiway that'll serve pilots for years to come!

What a treat to host three special visitors on the ramp: Doc, one of only two airworthy B-29s left in the world, and two NASA jets — an F-18 and an F-15.

The jets are sporting fresh paint jobs and headed to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Salute to America 250 Aviation Spectacle.

Doc has since headed home along with its crew.
