Tim Bradshaw Announces Retirement from Cheyenne Regional Airport

CHEYENNE, WY — After more than three decades in the aviation industry, Tim Bradshaw, A.A.E., Director of Aviation at Cheyenne Regional Airport, will retire in the coming weeks, concluding a distinguished career in airport leadership and public service.

Bradshaw joined Cheyenne Regional Airport in December 2021 and has overseen the airport’s day-to-day operations, facilities, and long-term development initiatives. During his tenure, he helped guide the airport through a period of significant improvement and investment, strengthening its role as a vital transportation hub for southeast Wyoming.

Under Bradshaw’s leadership, the airport completed several major projects designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and the passenger experience. These included a multi-year runway reconstruction effort, installation of a new passenger boarding bridge, expansion of terminal parking, and the addition of new aviation-related businesses and cargo operations.

“Tim has been instrumental in the growth and success of Cheyenne Regional Airport,” said airport board leadership in announcing his retirement. “His dedication to aviation, commitment to our community, and collaborative leadership have helped position the airport for continued success in the years ahead.”

Bradshaw brought extensive experience to Cheyenne, with more than 30 years in airport management and aviation operations. Earlier in his career, he served as airport director at The Eastern Iowa Airport and held management roles with the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, as well as airports in Owensboro and Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Bradshaw holds a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Public Administration from Western Kentucky University. He is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) through the American Association of Airport Executives, one of the highest professional distinctions in airport management.

As he prepares for retirement, Bradshaw leaves Cheyenne Regional Airport well positioned for the future. His leadership, vision, and dedication to excellence have strengthened the airport’s operations and reinforced its importance to the Cheyenne community and the broader region.

The airport board, staff, and community partners extend their sincere appreciation to Tim Bradshaw for his years of service and wish him all the best in a well-earned retirement.

Cheyenne, Wyoming — March 12, 2026 — The Board of Directors of Cheyenne Regional Airport is pleased to announce the appointment of William “Doug” Bullock, A.A.E., as the airport’s new Director of Aviation. Mr. Bullock will assume the role on April 5, 2026.

As Director of Aviation, Mr. Bullock will oversee the administration and management of all airport-owned facilities, including the day-to-day operations of Cheyenne Regional Airport (CYS). In this role, he will work closely with the Airport Board, staff, stakeholders, and community partners to support the airport’s continued growth and operational excellence.

Mr. Bullock brings more than 28 years of experience in the aviation industry and is widely recognized for his expertise in airport management, strategic planning, and building high-performing teams. Most recently, he served as Airport Manager for Carbon County Airport, in Utah, where he led key capital improvement initiatives and helped increase airport revenue year over year.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Bullock served as Airport Security Coordinator and Superintendent of Security and Safety at Mobile Regional Airport. In those roles, he contributed to efforts to attract new air service and was part of the team involved in the design of the new terminal in downtown Mobile.

“I’m thrilled to begin the role of Director of Aviation at Cheyenne Regional Airport and to work with the Board of Directors, staff, stakeholders, and the community,” said Bullock.

“What excites me most about joining Cheyenne Regional Airport is the opportunity to work alongside a talented team and a community that truly values its airport. I look forward to listening, learning, and building strong relationships as we continue expanding air service and air cargo opportunities, supporting industrial development, and ensuring the airport remains a vital asset for Southern Wyoming and the broader region.”

Mr. Bullock earned a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a master’s degree in Aviation Management from Utah State University. He is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) through the American Association of Airport Executives and serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Utah State University.

His appointment follows the completion of a comprehensive national executive search conducted by the Cheyenne Regional Airport Board of Directors. The competitive recruitment process attracted a strong field of qualified candidates from across the country, reflecting both the strength of the airport and the opportunities for continued growth within the Cheyenne community.

Throughout the selection process, the Board sought a leader with demonstrated experience in airport management, strategic development, air service growth, financial stewardship, and community engagement. Mr. Bullock’s proven track record and collaborative leadership style distinguished him as the ideal candidate for the position.

Cheyenne Regional Airport plays a critical role in supporting economic development, business growth, tourism, and quality of life for the Cheyenne community and the broader region. The Board is confident that under Mr. Bullock’s leadership, the airport will continue to strengthen partnerships, enhance operational excellence, and pursue thoughtful, strategic opportunities that position the airport for long-term success.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we extend our appreciation to the search partners, stakeholders, and community members who provided valuable input throughout the recruitment process. The Board looks forward to working with Mr. Bullock as Cheyenne Regional Airport continues to advance its mission and vision.
Please join us in welcoming Doug Bullock as the new Director of Aviation for Cheyenne Regional Airport.

Although we too share in the community disappointment, we stand ready, willing and able to support any future events with the Air Force Thunderbirds. In years past, we have worked closely with Cheyenne Frontier Days and FE Warren Air Force base to ensure success. We look forward to possible future airshows with the Air Force Thunderbirds.
