IT’S NOT A NAME, IT’S A LEGACY.

Gerald Dean Logistics was never created just to have a business name. It was created to honor the man behind the name — my Dad, Gerald Dean Dowell.

Born in 1946 and passing in 2014, my Dad left behind more than memories. He left behind a way of living.

He believed in loving God, doing the job right, and becoming your own man.

Over the years, he worked many different jobs. He even drove a truck for a period of time and once had hopes of buying a truck of his own. But at heart, he was a carpenter. He loved working with wood, building with his hands, and taking pride in what he created.

One of the lessons he lived by was simple:

If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

And he didn’t just say it. He showed it in his work, in his singing, in his faith, in the way he loved the Lord, and in the way he loved his family.

That is what Gerald Dean Logistics LLC represents to me.

It is not about trying to make a name for myself. It is about carrying forward a name that already meant something.

A name connected to faith.
A name connected to craftsmanship.
A name connected to hard work.
A name connected to family.
A name connected to doing things the right way.

My Dad may not have gotten the chance to own that truck he once dreamed about, but in a way, every mile this company travels carries a piece of that dream with it.

IT’S NOT A NAME, IT’S A LEGACY.

And I intend to do that legacy proud.
