The chart’s red markers underline the severity, with job postings dipping below pre-pandemic levels for the first time since recovery efforts began.

For those in trucking or similarly stable industries, this is a reminder of the value of steady work in volatile times. Trucking plays a crucial role in the economy, ensuring essential goods are delivered regardless of broader market conditions. However, the broader decline could mean reduced freight demand, which may trickle down to industries like trucking if consumer spending and production slow.

This situation calls for proactive measures, such as upskilling or exploring recession-resistant sectors, as the labor market shows signs of prolonged instability. Stability in your job is an advantage, but vigilance is key.

Yes, everyone is adult that has CDL, yet maturing is different point.
You never know the amount of the experience anyone has and never assume about people.

You can keep your arrogance and ignorance to your self and definitely defend your desire to photo shame someone on such unreasonable mater.

And this my friends is what is wrong with society nowadays and trucking suffers from it big time.
Drivers as a community are one of the few least represented and advocated for and yet drivers alone aren’t respectfully treating each other.

No more compassion or empathy to your fellow drivers.

Really freaking sad and pathetic.

New tech is here to keep drivers safer on the road! Netradyne’s Driver Drowsiness Monitoring System uses driver-facing cameras to detect early signs of fatigue, such as nodding, eyelid movement, and micro-sleeps. It provides in-cab alerts before fatigue becomes dangerous. Unlike other systems, it works in low light and even when drivers wear sunglasses. The sensor tailors alerts to the level of drowsiness, helping prevent false alarms. This innovative tool could help reduce accidents, protect drivers, and give fleet managers peace of mind.

FMCSA will send an industry-wide email to inform motor carriers that all who use these revoked ELDs must take the following steps:

Discontinue using the revoked ELDs and revert to paper logs or logging software to record required hours of service data.
Replace the revoked ELDs with compliant ELDs from the Registered Devices list before April 29, 2024.
