The influence of the Silk Road is woven deep into the fabric and DNA of Uzbekistan. Last week the Embassy of Uzbekistan The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington D.C. hosted a night to showcase the incredible textile and fashion industry within the country. It was the perfect night of learning, community, and some fantastic food from Chef at the Embassy of Uzbekistan 🩵🇺🇿💚

Earlier this year I did a fascia massage in Taipei and even months later I still can’t stop thinking about it. Fascia massages are known for helping relieve tension, improve mobility, boost circulation, and release stress by calming your nervous system.

Medical tourism isn’t just hefty surgeries overseas. It can be wholistic medical procedures like this too. Personally I love blending both eastern and western medicine practices to find a middle ground that works best for me.

Daydreaming of when I’m back in Taipei for another massage!😍

Medical tourism isn’t strictly confined to an invasive surgery/procedure overseas. It can be wholistic medical procedures like this too. Personally I love blending both eastern and western medicine practices to find a middle ground that works best for me.

Continually dreaming of the day I’m back in Taipei for another massage! New Dawn Health

Even if the Washington Commanders score was less than ideal 🫣 it was still such a fun morning at the UK ambassadors residence British Embassy Washington DC watching the NFL game in London.

This season there are 9 NFL games being played overseas. 9 games across 7 countries with the most amount of games being played in the UK.

I may be a loud and proud Chicago Bears fan but fun fact: my first ever NFL game was a Washington game vs the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009. (Swipe for a surprise)

Maybe next season I’ll catch one of these international games live 😉🏈🌎

Meskel is the celebration of the discovery of the True Cross in Orthodox Christianity. Over 500,000 people came to the city center to celebrate here in Addis Ababa and millions celebrating across Ethiopia.

Meskel is celebrated very traditionally with prayers, singing, processions, and ultimately the burning of the massive bonfire (Demera).

Everyone is given a prayer candle/ wax stick (tuaf) made of cotton and beeswax. You pass your flame to those around you until the entire square is glowing.

Notably there were powerful chants and calls for peace amidst the recent conflicts in the northern region of the country.

It was such a moving celebration and I’m grateful for the opportunity to witness it with my own eyes.

Ethiopia, you are magnificent 🇪🇹💚
