One of the many horses available at the Waverly Horse Sale next week!! Should I share some of my favorites? (This is Karrie) maybe Bill should too? I mean, favorites from this catalog. The three from past sales - spring 2024 for the girls and spring 2026 for Captain - in our pasture have our ❤️s but there's so many great horses every sale!!

Broke to ride and drive, single, double, and on either side. Traffic Safe. He lopes nice circles, pivots, and side passes. He's a really good all around horse. Very pretty.

We continue to be impressed with Captain ❤️ this is the first time we have hooked him to the manure spreader. You have to use a lot of caution, go slowly and double check your horse feels okay with the racket. One step, stop. Couple steps, stop. A good horse partner is priceless, as well as a careful teamster and ground help. We were just picking up here, they took a loop to position better, but we decided to go ahead and spread. Everything went great, and we're so proud of Captain! And Pet! And Bill Treichel!

At Mr Ed's today for the fall field day. Captain got to plow with Pet as well as ground drove a little and we hooked him briefly to our forecart for a little experience. Thanks to everyone who helped!

A little fun today from Horsepower Days at the Forest History Center in Grand Rapids. They are continuing the tradition of hosting members of the north star draft and driving association, and today we had 12 teams there - 3 Forest History Center resident teams, and 9 that club members brought. We did our best to show folks what camp may have looked like back in the day. Bill and the girls went Friday too, and they ran the cross haul and the jammer. We skidded logs both days. Friends came out both days to see the girls in action.
