Last week, our CEO Rey Rivera, was invited by Hannah Fernandez and the team at Metropolitan Family Services to speak at the IL Works Bridge to Construction class, an initiative focused on preparing individuals for careers in the trades.

At CSI 3000 we talk a lot about being in the people business first. Opportunities like this are where that belief shows up in real ways. There’s something meaningful about being in a room like that. Not to present, but to share real experiences, lessons learned, and an honest look at what this industry can offer. Conversations like these are where awareness turns into opportunity.

We’re grateful for the invitation, and the work being done to create access and awareness across our industry.

Another year showing up for an event we always make time for.

Junior Achievement of Chicago Topgolf outing continues to be one we come back to: a good mix of supporting a meaningful cause, connecting with partners, and getting our team together outside of the day-to-day.

It was great spending time with our friends and guests, Suzanne and JC from Nicor Gas, and a group that continues to invest in opportunities for the next generation.

Our team had a solid showing like always, a little competitive, lots of laughs and mostly just a good time.

Appreciation to Shedelle Denard for thinking of us and creating the opportunity for us to be part of this, and to Alida Vitello for bringing it all together and executing a great event.

Appreciate Junior Achievement of Chicago for the opportunity. We’ll be back next year!

Progress at the OPC Athletic Center.

Material moving, forms coming together, and the next phase taking shape with intention. Every step is coordinated, every detail matters.

Leadership on site makes the difference. Our foremen show up ready, stay on it throughout the day, and make sure the work is done right the first time.

Simple work, done with discipline.

It is an honor to be recognized as a Chicago MSDC Supplier of the Year award recipient. Thank you to Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council for your continued support and for the important work you do creating opportunities and strengthening the business community. Special thanks to Dan Seals, CEO of Chicago MSDC, for his leadership and impact.

This recognition belongs to our entire CSI 3000 team. From the office staff keeping everything moving behind the scenes to the crews in the field delivering every day, your hard work, commitment, and pride in what you do make moments like this possible.

Congratulations to our friends and fellow awardees:
Walt Gore of Peoples Gas - WEC Energy Group
Burns & McDonnell
Linda Igvinobia SVP at Bowa Construction
Jazille with the City of Chicago
Filippe Cade with Professional Environmental Engineers, Inc.
and Mike Cabrera with Momentum365

It was also great to connect with friends in attendance, including Hire360 Partners, Frank with Nacional Group, and Edith De La Cruz with Antigua Construction.

We are grateful for this recognition and proud to continue building, growing, and creating impact together.

A lot of what we do at CSI 3000 doesn’t get seen. The conversations before the work starts, the reminders, the walkthroughs, the small adjustments that prevent bigger issues later.
This week’s toolbox talk was centered on concrete safety. We went over the basics one more time: PPE, awareness, communication, and staying ahead of hazards before and during the work. Not because we have to, but because it’s part of how we operate.

Simple things, but they matter.

And when you step on the jobsite, it reflects that. Barriers are set, the crew is visible, and the work area is controlled.

That’s our standard; safety, discipline, and ex*****on in every job.

This week, our CEO Rey Rivera actively served on the board of Chicago UNIDOS in Construction, helping bring together owners, developers, and contractors to drive real opportunities for MWVBE firms.

What stood out wasn’t just the energy in the room, it was the clarity. Opportunities are here, partners are aligned, and expectations are high.

Hearing directly from the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), through Misty Brown, that MWVBE goals are back, funding is active, and projects like the Red Line Extension are moving forward sends a strong signal to the market. Add to that the pipeline of opportunities shared by Related Midwest, led by Mark Goeden and Hiram Torres, and the message becomes even clearer: this work is happening now.

This is what progress looks like: the right people in the room, real opportunities on the table, and a shared focus on ex*****on.

Appreciate the leadership behind Chicago UNIDOS in Construction for creating space where connections turn into action and access turns into real work. Looking forward to what’s next.

Spring’s here and so is construction season!

At Poupard Place, our team is out with Skender Construction placing and finishing concrete, shaping foundations that set the tone for everything that follows.

Preparation is done, now we execute with excellence.

Earlier this week, we attended Advocacy Day in Springfield, hosted by The Illinois Utilities Business Diversity Council, a space focused on driving real progress for diverse suppliers across the utilities industry.

Events like this matter. They create alignment between organizations, open doors for opportunity, and reinforce the responsibility we all share in building a more inclusive and competitive industry.

Proud to be part of the conversation and committed to doing our part to move it forward.

Two great conversations this week focused on leadership, growth, and learning from experience.

At the monthly MacDonald, Lee & Senechalle's attorneys’ meeting, Rey shared insights on The CSI 3000 Way, our culture, the importance of people, and the mindset that drives our team to keep improving and pushing forward.

We also had the opportunity to attend the Utilities Panel Discussion & Networking Event, bringing together leaders from across the industry to discuss operations, infrastructure, and the future of utilities.

Grateful for spaces that allow us to exchange ideas, build relationships, and continue learning from others in our industry.

Resilience was the theme of yesterday’s State of the Company meeting, led by our Hauling team.

The session served as a platform to recognize the people who do the work every day, both in front and behind the scenes, showing the kind of resilience that keeps CSI 3000 moving forward.

A big thank you to the Hauling team for doing a great job leading today and bringing the topic to life for the entire company.

Turning setbacks into comebacks... that’s The CSI 3000 Way.

Construction is built by great people and that includes the incredible women across our industry.

During Women in Construction Week, Walsh Construction gathered the women on site for a photo with the Women in Construction banner, and we were proud to see a member of our CSI 3000 team in the group.

Recognition matters. Representation matters. And our industry is stronger because of it.
