CINCINNATI!!!!! Save Cincy Red Bike
Cincinnati needs YOUR HELP at this critical moment!
Greetings everyone! Yes, I'm still down here in South America, but I"ve been following this situation with Cincy Red Bike. You may know that the system has been down since mid-January after the primary corporate sponsor sadly decided not to renew their sponsorship. Subsequently, community and transit advocates, business leaders, and the city with extraordinary leadership by Councilmember Mark Jeffreys have sprung into action to Save Cincy Red Bike. While work continues on creating a long-term sustainable funding model, through the generosity of donors small and large, a $50,000 funding gap has been whittled down to $15,000. If we are able to close this remaining gap, which we will when you all chip in and clip me for $7.5k in the next two weeks, the plan is to re-start the system on May 13, just in time for peak bike season.
With that background, I'm asking for your help. I have pledged to match every donation dollar for dollar to your donations. No amount is too small, every $100, $50, $20, $10 or even $1 or whatever you can afford, will get us up and rolling again. Our community has risen to meet the challenge on occasions like this in the past and I'm confident that we will again to save this critical piece of our sustainable transportation infrastructure. Please make your tax deductible donation here!
