Today was a BIG day at the shop! We splashed the hull of a new boat we are building for a client so we could check for leaks (there were none) and inspect stability. It exceeded all of the project specifications! This is going to be an octagon shaped Tiki boat with electric propulsion. It's designed to carry six people. Next the hull goes back into the shop where we start to build the deck, the bar and the thatch roof. This has been a fun project. We'll share details as the job progresses! The third picture of the finished Tiki is similar to what we are building. Its just a picture I found online to share.

We just splashed the first of a new design for us today and it couldn't have gone any better!! This dock measures 40' long by 8' wide. It features a custom heavy duty steel frame suitable for commercial use on the rough Ohio River or any other demanding environment, a Trex deck, plastic foam filled tough floats, heavy duty hinges, conduit for electric and water lines and oversize cleats. It floated right on its designed waterline and it looks great!!!

I just received my ABYC Marine Electrical Technician certification!!!! I’m now one of 3 certified techs in the entire state of Ohio! That test was a lot harder than I thought it would be!!! 😂

For those that don’t know, the American Boat & Yacht Council is the group responsible for writing most of the codes and building standards that all boat manufacturers are bound by. The Coast Guard also uses their standards to inspect commercial and private boats.

Just finished a custom swim platform for a Chris Craft. All aluminum construction with powder coat finish. The “Chris Craft” logo was CNC cut into the aluminum deck and then hand painted with the same color as the hull to match. It turned out really nice! Ready to upgrade your boat with a custom swim deck?!
