What an amesome Fly-in today. We had a great turn out. Big thanks to all our volunteers including the Civil Air Patrol cadets who managed our busy ramp. Goodfolk & O'Tymes Biplane Rides and Kestrel Warbird Experience were flying riders non-stop all afternoon.

We're also happy to announce the door prize winner, Eric Boerger, who flew in from Miller's Farm airfield (7B4). Eric will receive a 1yr subscription to Foreflight.

We're already planning our next year's event. Saturday, Sept 13 2025.

Do you like cheap fuel prices and practicing x-wind landings? Then stop into to Pickaway County Airport! We can't always promise the x-winds, which we get a lot of, but we've currently got the lowest fuel price in the state according to a quick scan on Foreflight. Our recent fuel load allowed us to drop down to $5.20/gal for 100LL / self-service.

We had a great turnout and perfect weather for this year's fly-in. Over 500 burgers/hotdogs handed out, over 30 visiting aircraft, 56 EAA Young Eagle passengers, and an uncountable number of barrel-train rides for the kids. A big thanks the Kestrel Team and their T6 Texan, EAA Chapter 9, and all our volunteers who made the day possible. We're already looking forward to next year.

Earlier this month, Mrs. Thornton, a satellite teacher for Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center, and her aviation class visited the Pickaway County Airport. The tour started with the students meeting Nick Courtright who is an IT manager for NetJets and also a part of the Pickaway County Airport Authority who talked with them about multiple different jobs available in the aviation industry. They met a representative from Sundowner Aviation out of Lancaster, Ohio, to learn more about the steps to becoming a private pilot. They met with a Delta Airlines captain who described “the day in the life of an airline pilot”. The students were able to walk around and speak with multiple pilots who volunteered their time to show the students their planes. Many of the students were able to sit in the planes and get a hands-on feel for the controls and how everything works. The students also met Mr. Black, another Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center teacher, who is also a pilot. Mr. Black walked the students through the check-off process to complete before take-off. The tour ended with the students meeting the founder and staff of Vitatoe Aviation who has a hangar at the airport. Here the students learned about this local company who provides different engines, airframe, and propeller modifications for Cessna aircraft and were able to see multiple planes in various stages of modifications.

The airport is happy to announce we've installed our new credit card reader today. This new system is up and running and a great improvement over the former unit. We've also lowered pricing on both 100LL ($5.55) and JetA ($4.55).

Aviators – KCYO would like to apologize for the recent fuel availability issues caused by our self-service credit card reader. Back in early March, the system started intermittently failing leaving the fuel pumps out of service from time to time. The Airport Authority has approved a full replacement of the Credit Card kiosk with hopes to be installed early next month. We do file NOTAMs once an outage has been reported. Please check for any active NOTAMs before flying in and shutting down. If you arrive and find the fuel unavailable, please reach out to the Airport Authority. We appreciate your patience as we get the replacement kiosk installed soon. Thanks
