This is a friendly reminder that we must not throw lithium batteries into the trash. We have experienced three fires as a result of improper disposal, and we must prioritize safety in our workspace.

If you have lithium batteries to dispose of, please utilize one of the following locations that accept them:
- Thompson Sanitation in Owatonna
- Freeborn County Environmental Services
- Mower County Recycling

Recycling pick-ups will be one day behind this week due to yesterday’s weather conditions. Thompson Sanitation will resume recycling services Tuesday, March 17th.
