The Port of Clarkston will be CLOSED on Friday, June 19th, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.

The Port of Clarkston will be performing asphalt maintenance and striping at the east end of the waterfront Thursday June 4, 2026 – Friday June 5, 2026.

Crack-filling of the Granite Lake Park Trail will occur on June 4th 6:00am – 3:00pm (highlighted Green)
Striping of asphalt will occur Friday June 5th 6:00am – 3:00pm (highlighted Red)


The Port will do its best to reopen trails and parking areas as soon as possible and hope this does not cause an inconvenience to tenants or park users.

The 2026 Cruise Boat Season is set to begin at the Port of Clarkston on April 3, 2026, with the arrival of the American Harmony and Lindblad Expeditions Seabird . 2026 will see a total of 73 dockings at the Port of Clarkston 7th Street Dock, equating to 145 total cruises with passengers embarking and disembarking in Asotin County. The Port feels privileged to have American Cruise Lines and Lindblad Expeditions crews and passengers gracing our shores.

This time of year, the United States Army Corps of Engineers closes the Snake River Dams to do annual maintenance.
During the navigation lock outage, crews dewater the navigation lock to perform essential inspections, repairs, or upgrades that would be impossible to complete while the locks are in service.

Thank you to the Pacific Northwest Waterways Association (PNWA) and the WallaWallaUSACE for organizing a tour of the Little Goose Dam. Port of Clarkston’s Commissioner Jay Backus, along with a group of constituents, enjoyed the tour earlier this week.

Every year, millions of tons of commodities are barged through the Columbia-Snake River System. One barge can carry the equivalent of 35 hopper cars or 134 semi-trucks of goods, leaving a much smaller carbon footprint than road or railway transportation methods.
