Travelers will be asked to pack food in a clear plastic bag and to place that bag in a bin at the checkpoint -- a procedure designed reduce the frequency with which food triggers alarms during the screening process. In the event food is found in your luggage traveler will be asked to remove the item from there bag outside of the screening area.

Instead of handing boarding passes to TSA agents, passengers will place their paper or electronic passes on the reader themselves.
