Travel Agent Hot Take from your fav TA:

One thing I know for a FACT: Nobody has ever sat on their deathbed wishing they'd spent more time comparing hotel prices.

So, if you want to talk all things travel and ask ALL the questions about your next vacay (yes, even if you didn't hire me), join my private group where we talk travel tea every single day.

Comment GROUP and I'll personally invite you in

Imagine explaining this job I chose that people think is extinct...
"So what do you do?""

Well, I convince people to stop waiting until retirement to enjoy their lives.
I encourage grown adults to use their PTO.
I spend my days explaining that yes, travel insurance is important.
I talk people out of terrible flight schedules.
I prevent vacation overstimulation.
I decode airline nonsense.

I gently remind people that their Facebook friend who took a cruise in 2011 is not, in fact, a travel expert.

And somehow this is an actual business... that some of y'all ignore and book all your own s**t. 😂

But annnnnieeeways, if you enjoy travel stories, travel hot takes, and watching me occasionally meltdown because of a hurricane, come join my private group.

And honestly? Invite your friends too, because the BEST & easiest way to support me without hiring me is to REFER me to someone. I promise I save y'all time and research headaches, and my beautiful sarcastic personality will shine through if we work together.

Plus, if they're anything like mine, they're already sending vacation reels to each other at 11 PM and saying, "We should do this."

Comment GROUP and I'll send the link. and TAG your friends on this post so they can join, too. K thanks

"Two resorts can look identical online and feel completely different in real life. Same destination. Same price range. Two wildly different experiences."

This is exactly why every Defying Limits trip begins with a conversation, not a quote.

Why? Because the details matter. How a property handles crowds....what the energy is like (so important for travelers with sensory sensitivity)...the food safety protocols for travelers with Celiac...the room locations and layouts for travelers with mobility needs.

These are the things the booking site doesn't show. These are the things a fifteen minute call with ME uncovers.

DID YOU KNOW?
I have a blog located on my website! Where I review locations, talk about how even the "best" accessible resorts can fail, and how to vet your resorts before booking. Here is my most recent published post, where I tell you exactly how I vet the suppliers and hotels I send my celiac and gluten free clients to:

Travel Advisor Hot Take from the only person in your feed who keeps it real...

Life is too damn short for 💩 vacations. The cheapest option is often the most EXPENSIVE mistake so let's slow down before we hit the "book now" button.

I'm not just talking about money...
I'm talking about missed experiences, overstimulation, bad locations, horrible food, time of year, terrible flight schedules, rooms that don't work for your needs, wasted vacation days, and vacation REGRET.
I help you navigate ALL of that with my travel tips, ideas and commiserating amongst ourselves in my private FB group.

Comment GROUP to join and discuss all the s**t that can go wrong when you plan your trip through Expedia. (And believe me, I know--I used to work for them)

I have a favor to ask. I took a Facebook Groups training and I have a bossy ass coach... she SAYS I can tell you that I'm a small business & sometimes I need some help growing my reach. BUT, I cannot stand PUBLIC ass groups where everyone can see all my opinions and stuff, so... I started a private group.
Some of you are already in it & you're now my favorite. She says it's ok for me to ask for help getting the word out & I promise this is NOT an MLM recruiting plan.

I book vacations for a living... and I'm TRYING to make it work. This whole post disgusts me.

But... if you've ever laughed at one of my travel posts... learned something... considered "picking my brain"... I don't know... SOMETHING... Invite your people into my private group.

The best members are almost always referrals.

They're your friends.
Your coworkers.
Your travel buddies.
Your "we should totally go somewhere" people.

And honestly, they're probably more fun than the random strangers Facebook would send me anyway. 😂

Travel Agent Hot Take from your favorite TA:

Most people don't need just a vacation. They need actual boundaries.
NO amount of beach is going to fix worrying about if you'll get glutened at dinner that night.

If you're taking your stress with you, you're not really able to focus on who is with you, the experiences you are having and the memories you want to be making. Worrying about what you will eat isn't that cool... promise.

In my private FB group we discuss all the ways I can make life easier so you can GO ENJOY... every single day.

Comment GROUP if you want some more real talk around ALL things travel.

Today is National Disability Independence Day. Thirty six years since the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed.

Here is what the ADA did: it made access a legal requirement instead of a courtesy. It gave people the right to enter a building, use a restroom, and be served without asking permission first.

Here is what it did not do: it did not follow you overseas. A hotel in Lisbon is not bound by it, or a tour operator in Marrakech or a driver in Bangkok. They answer to their own standards, which may be very different from the one you have in mind.

That gap is the entire reason this agency exists.

Verification is how we close it. We take one property, one question, one written answer at a time, like door widths in writing, shower configurations confirmed with a photo of the actual room, and kitchen protocols confirmed with the chef. They're every detail handled before you arrive. They're not assumed, or guessed. They're verified.

Accessibility isn't a special request. It's built in from day one.

Message me if you would like your next trip designed that way.

The tell is always in how fast the smile drops 🙃

I’m asking because “accessible“ gets printed on a brochure a lot more often than it gets verified in a bathroom. And the fastest way to find out which one you’re dealing with is to ask something specific enough that a vague answer can’t survive it.

A door is either 32 inches clear or it itsnt. A shower either has a roll in or it has a tub with a grab bar someone added later. A “gluten-free“ dish either comes out of a dedicated dryer or it doesn’t. There’s no vibe answer to any of that, there’s just a real one or a scramble.

So when I ask and the smile drops before the words do, that is not me being difficult. That is the answer.

And that’s a whole job, honestly. Not taking “we’re working on that” for an answer twice.
