From the moment we saw the photos of this property, I knew it was the one for us. My husband is retiring, and we have always wanted to spend at least some of our winters out of the ice and snow of Maine. We chose Orlando for the ease of travel and the many activities nearby. Our son is a huge amusement park fan, and we knew being here would ensure many visits from him in the future!
Being the nature lover that I am, what made my heart leap about this particular property was the setting...the supreme privacy afforded by an oversized lot bordering a pond and large nature conservation area beyond. Rear neighbors are nowhere in sight, a rare find in Florida. Even the side neighbors have pools on the opposite sides of their homes. When I finally saw the property, I relaxed and was ‘home.’ I couldn’t hear a single car. I couldn’t see a single house. I saw egrets, heron and sandhill cranes. I heard breezes in the palms. It was the peaceful tropical sanctuary I had always dreamed of.
The former owners had recently renovated the kitchen and installed gorgeous tile floors throughout that look like wood. Everyone who has seen these floors falls in love with them! They are light and yet imbue the place with a warmth you don’t usually feel with tile.
When my realtor did ann initial video walkthrough for us before we could come down, she was so surprised and excited. She raved about how clean the house was and how nice and new the furniture for a rental home. When I arrived to inspect the property, I agreed wholeheartedly. We often rent homes on vacation, and this one was much superior to any of them.
